I've listened to maybe 300 plus audiobooks, so many that I lose track. But when it comes to books featuring man's best friend, this is the best.
Perhaps one by Nora Roberts (can't remember the title). Otherwise no comparison. The other books are too sentimental.
Don't know if I have or not.
My wife is a dog trainer (make that a trainer of people who have dogs). She listened up to the explosion and almost quit. I promised her that this really was a great book about a brave man and dog and please don't give up on it.
So she got back into it. AND absolutely loved it.
This is storytelling at it's best.

I believe this might have been my first Mark Hammer. In other authors series I would typically select Dick Hill or a name I was familiar with. But Hammer did not disappoint me at all.

Looks like this was his first book. I don't know how many revisions he went through but by golly he got it right!
The unrelenting tour guides commentary on streets, hotels, clubs and directions to just about everything. If you are planning a trip to Japan, read this first. Heck, by the end of the book you might even speak Japanese.
I'm going back to Preston or James Lee Burke. I far prefer New Orleans.
Dick Hill is one of my top ten best. But when a talented quarter back plays with a lousy team it sometimes reflect back to the QB.
My shredder can only handle six pages at a time. Too much work.

What can I say. Craig spins a wonderful story and Guidall is the absolute perfect voice to bring Craigs genius out. Every time I log onto Audible I have to see whether there is another Longmire tale awaiting me.
Come on Craig. I need another one.
We all know words. We all have some talent in forming sentences. But the truly gifted can massage ideas and thoughts through words that grab your attention; making one wish that he could express himself as elegantly. Lehane knows how to do it.
