Stephen Leeds, AKA 'Legion,' is a man whose unique mental condition allows him to generate a multitude of personae: hallucinatory entities with a wide variety of personal characteristics and a vast array of highly specialized skills. As the story begins, Leeds and his 'aspects' are drawn into the search for the missing Balubal Razon, inventor of a camera whose astonishing properties could alter our understanding of human history and change the very structure of society.

    Story

This was an excellent short story. The concept was unique and even though many characters were introduced in a short time, it never became confusing to me as a reader/listener. I can only hope that Sanderson will revisit it at some point and turn it into a full length novel or series. Apparently, the movie rights have been optioned as well, and I would be first in line to see that. It is that good.

I am a fan of Oliver Wyman and the Monster Hunter series. My only critique (though I say this somewhat tongue-in-cheek) is that I kept waiting for Stephen Leeds to say "My name is Owen Zastava Pitt" for the first 10 minutes. Once I was able to become engrossed in the story, this was no longer distracting. Wyman does an excellent job on the many voices introduced in the novella.
