If you could sum up The Land of Stories: The Enchantress Returns in three words, what would they be?

    Awesome awesome awesome!

What other book might you compare The Land of Stories: The Enchantress Returns to and why?

None and yet so many at the same time. Chris Colfer really wrote a great adventure and made it his own. While this story recalls many of the fairy tale classics, Colfer keeps the integrity of each character without commercializing them. But they aren't who the story is about anyway. Alex and Connor Bailey are awesome and lovable and new characters who are a fresh breath of air.

Which character – as performed by Chris Colfer – was your favorite?

What? I have to pick just one? That's not going to happen! I caught myself a few times wondering how in the world he gave each characters voice such a different range, I had no problem telling which character was from the other.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I could have I would have! But I just didn't have that much free time in one sitting. But I did finish it in a week and a half.

    Any additional comments?

Thank you Chirs Colfer! After listening to The Land of Stories, the wishing spell and finding out soon after that he had already had The Enchantress Returns in the works, I was so delighted! I hope he isn't done with Alex and Connor Bailey just yet, please don't be! I have more to say but can't without spoiling something awesome for those who haven't read yet.

But Finn’s death brings a surprise acquaintance into June’s life - someone who will help her to heal....

Would you listen to Tell the Wolves I’m Home again? Why?

Tell the Wolves I'm Home was very interesting and an easy listen but, I'm undecided on if I would listen to it again. The narrators voice seemed very electronic and flat at times which really threw me off at times. Perhaps I would read the book though.

What other book might you compare Tell the Wolves I’m Home to and why?

I could not compare this story with any other that I have read personally.

Did Amy Rubinate do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Yes, when it came to the characters Amy Rubinate performed awesomely at making each character his or her own. However the generic narration would be a bit flat and monotone at times, it sounded like a operator recording.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

What made the experience of listening to Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl the most enjoyable?

Selma Blair's performance made it feel like Anne was talking right to me. This audio book was transformed into a friend telling of her trials and a friend listening intently. This is story is amazing on its own but the performance set it apart.

What did you like best about this story?

Anne is a real teen girl and I felt like if I had been in her situation... Well I don't know. It's a tragedy that Anne had to experience these hardships and that in the end she suffered even more but I appreciate that the story is real and raw. I am thankful for Anne who spent all that time writing in her journal and sharing her story.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The part where Anne talks about making a difference long after she is gone... I cried, like a baby!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

See the comment above, yes absolutely!

    Any additional comments?

Anne transforms through out her time in the Secret annex and that makes her more likable as her story develops. I hate for her that she wasn't able to enjoy her youth but I am greatful that she shared her story with us and that would make her happy if she knew, all the lives she had touched through writing in her journal.

One of the best-known stories in American culture, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz has stirred the imagination of young and old alike for over 100 years. Best Actress nominee Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married, Alice In Wonderland), fresh from filming The Dark Knight Rises, lent her voice to this uniquely American fairy tale.

What did you love best about The Wonderful Wizard of Oz?

The story a lone was awesome but our famous narrator made it outstanding! Before reading this, I had only ever had the movie version. The book is so much better! It is hard to pick out a part that I loved best so many things come to mind... But if I have to pick one... Oh I just can't... Every aspect of this story is awesome. I was able to recapture something awesome from my youth and listen around my daughter without the worry of her hearing something inappropriate. Plus the characters and how Anne brought them each their own voice gave the story a new and unexpected dimension.

What other book might you compare The Wonderful Wizard of Oz to and why?

I feel like this story stands alone as it should. It is unique and that makes it wonderful... Anything that may compare in the future is just a copy cat.

Have you listened to any of Anne Hathaway’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I have not listened to Anne before but I was very pleased with her performance and would listen again.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I may have laughed on a few occasions but I don't recall any tears.

Like every other hobbit, Bilbo Baggins likes nothing better than a quiet evening in his snug hole in the ground, dining on a sumptuous dinner in front of a fire. But when a wandering wizard captivates him with tales of the unknown, Bilbo becomes restless. Soon he joins the wizard’s band of homeless dwarves in search of giant spiders, savage wolves, and other dangers. Bilbo quickly tires of the quest for adventure and longs for the security of his familiar home. But before he can return to his life of comfort, he must face the greatest threat of all.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Hobbit to be better than the print version?

Well... I must say I haven't read the print version to say. But I can say this the narrator made this story come to life. He performed each character excellently and gave them wonderful individual voices. The many pieces where he had to sing, although not my favorite parts... He sold me on it every time!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Hobbit?

The emotion and almost physical battle against Gollom stands out to me the most. But there were so many moments. But the reason why that particular moment stands out to me is because I love the riddle game the two play.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    See previous answer

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

But of course! We are talking about the writings of Tolkien. There were several and it would be hard for me to select one.

To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare, woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, she has endured a tumultuous year of temptation, loss, and strife to reach the ultimate turning point.

What did you love best about Breaking Dawn?

    Jacob's voice!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Breaking Dawn?

I really appreciated the multiple narrators and loved that this story takes on Jacob's point of view. I particularly like the part where Jacob (without giving too much away) has his personal climax and that's all I can say without ruining a key part of this story.

Which character – as performed by Ilyana Kadushin and Matt Walters – was your favorite?

Matt was perfect as Jacob... Absolutely perfect! IIyana had a great range of voices for each character and I look forward to hearing her again.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There are many moving moments, a lot happens in this book for our three main characters and honestly when the boom ended... I wasn't ready to leave them just yet. The end when Bella masters her powers and is able to surprise Edward once again is just the absolute sweetest thing!

Imagine it were possible to bring the characters from a book to life. Not like when you listen to an audiobook with such enchantment that the characters seem to jump off the pages and into your bedroom...but for real. Imagine they could actually climb out of the pages and into our world. Then imagine if those characters brought their world into ours.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I recommend this story to everyone whether young or old because all the characters and all that goes on in this splendid story, there is something somewhere that I believe anyone and everyone could identify themselves.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Oh what an unfair question! I love them all, except Capricorn but we aren't meant to like him and that is good and well. Eleanor brought forth a lot of humor to me and so I will have to choose her as my favorite.

    Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene had to been... I can't say with out giving a spoiler ... Oh maybe I can without giving up too much... I like the dungeon scene and that's all I wil say.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Scent of Rain and Lightning to be better than the print version?

Of course the audio version is better. The narrator did the most excellent job of bringing these characters to life. If I had been reading the book in print, the characters accents would have never been so well developed in my head and I just love how real she made this story for me.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Hugh Jr. - bless his heart! And his dear sweet mother Annabell Lendor. We don't get to spend too much time with Hugh Jr but he is a good man who loves his family and is doing the best he can. Annabell is a dear kind soul who wants what is best for everyone and takes on what others either cannot or choose not and this makes me love her.

Have you listened to any of Tavia Gilbert’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to Tavia before but I can tell you her voices and accents really pulled this story into a light that would've not been there on paper for me, at least. She turned the story into much more than a reading of a book aloud but a true and spectacular performance that honestly... I could listen to again.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This book isn't the shortest but I deffinitely got through it in good time and could not wait to return to it each time.

Would you try another book from Leo Tolstoy and/or David Horovitch?

It is certain that Leo Tolstoy will be an author I look into in the near future after I get a bit further into my pile of books I already have set aside to listen to or to read. The narrator has an amazingly eloquent voice and I loved his ability to make distinct voices for the male characters but I felt as thought he fell short on the female characters. However this wouldn't stop me from putting him in my next pick.

What did you like best about this story?

The struggle that Levan has encountered throughout this book is very real and brought to the surface a struggle that I was able to make a connection. I liked Levan very much from the beginning and loved him even more so at the end of this grand story.

What three words best describe David Horovitch’s performance?

    Eloquent, vivid and charming.

Did Anna Karenina inspire you to do anything?

This book I don't feel is so much an inspirational book but a book for reflecting. Reflecting on ones choices in life and how best to move forward.

    Any additional comments?

The title is a bit miss leading, if you know nothing of Anna Karenina and if reading this review you may be asking yourself why I haven't mentioned our dear Anna. She indeed is one of our main characters and we spend a great bit of time with her but not who the book is truly about. However her struggle in this book takes you on quite the ride and in the end I wasn't quite sure how to feel about her but I know that I felt dumb-founded and aggrevated with her decisions and her choice of how to deal with them.

What did you like best about The Hour I First Believed? What did you like least?

The historical events that are tied to this story's essence and the evolution of our main character really kept me connected to this story but at the same time I despised the main character and almost quit listening because of him. But I had to know what was going to happen next and that was the second best thing about this story, the writer really kept you hanging on and wanting more.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I wanted more of these characters, I almost missed them with the way it ended and I really can't say more without ruining it for those who haven't read this story.

What about George Guidall’s performance did you like?

He turned it into a true dramatization without turning it corny although he could've done a but better with the women's voices, I was we'll pleased with him.

Did The Hour I First Believed inspire you to do anything?

This story should be a very good reminder of how each moment and each action if your life impact others, it impacts tomorrow and it impacts more than you can ever imagine.
