"A must listen to fans of the Enderverse"
This novel fills much of what you are left wanting for in Speaker. It's a bit longer and deeper but that doesn't detract from your enjoyment.
"A true classic."
This is a timeless story and would be perfect for any person or family to listen to during the holiday season. This audiobook is very pleasing and the narrator makes it a very enjoyable experience.
"An excellent and quick story"
Minor spoilers/hints:
Despite finding this story a little predictable I really enjoyed this story. It's very easy to listen to and could be appropriate for most people/teens. I really enjoyed the subtle descriptions of what was going on as well as the quick immersion into what was clearly a mundane situation turned dangerous. Thank you for narrating this story and providing to charity!
"Rarely have I been so moved"
For the time being, what an incredible "conclusion" to the Shadow series (until Shadows Alive comes out). This book brought me to tears. I must read for anyone of the Enderverse.
"As a long time Star Wars fan: Loved it"
There is a lot offered in this novel. First of all the narration and effects are very good. It's much more interesting to listen to than many audio books. Sound effects and music from Star Wars movies add much to the book.
The story is also excellent. There is much in the book for people who have been reading the books for a long time. (For example, even a name like Armand Isard is mentioned). The story is fun and very full of Sith. The back story of Plagueis and Sidious is one that has been a long time coming. I believe that James Luceno, narrated by Daniel Davis, did an excellent job.
"Please take the time to listen to this"
This is one of those stories that I think everyone needs to listen to. The voice acting is incredible and makes this one of the best novels I have ever listened to. This is the only book I have ever read/listened to that had my jaw on the floor at multiple times, not just the climax of the plot. It's the kind of novel that you wouldn't be able to stop listening to. Remember: The enemies gate is down.
"An incredible story for anyone"
This parallel novel to Ender's Game is an incredible story. It is told with a fantastic cast of voices. The story is enthralling, and while it IS a parallel story it brings so many new elements to that plot that it is a completely new book. You will not feel like you are listening to the same thing. The story of Bean fleshes out the plot of Ender's Game and will only add to your appreciate for the Enderverse.
