Why not listen to the man himself explain how the world works in his mind? I simply love to listen to his thoughts. He makes me laugh with his train of thoughts. If you need to have a
to hear a second opinion to things, listen to Shatnerverse! You will end up liking your world better...LOL
I like that Shatner himself is narrating his own book. I like his voice!
When we read books, we tend to insert tones and feeling to it. However, When the original writer reads it to you, you will "hear" what he really meant because it is "his tones and feeling" in the story. So listening to Shatner reading his own story helped me to understand what he really meant to say.
This story really helped change my thoughts on who wicked is. I love and feel sad for her. In the book "the wizard of oz", we only get to hear one side of the story, but now that I got to listen to the other side, I feel bad for the kind of life wicked had to endure through her whole life.
Wicked was my favorite character. Her whole life was painful, misunderstood, with little love.
There are two side to a story!
I would recommend that instead of going to the play to see "Wicked" to listen to the audio book. You cannot transfer all the details into a play. I am going to wait a year, so that I can listen to it again. I say a year, because by than, most of it will be forgotten and it will feel fresh again to listen to.
I like the idea that it helps me sleep all through the night. It does work. When he saids that I am going to sleep, I somehow do because the next thing I recall is the narrater telling me to wake up...LOL As to what he said in between the story, I have no clue....lolIn overall, I think that I have felt more positive and more empower to work my business. So It must be working. I gave it a 5 stars because any book that will help me to do better in my business, ever though I have no clue what he said, must be working for me. So I will continue to listen to it and see what's up with the car issue.
I would recomment this book to my friends that would need some good nite sleep.
Kept me going
This was an interesting read. I didn't really want to stop listening to it. It has to have an ending. What's going to happen to these kids? And there still one kid missing. So there must be another book in the making. Until then, I have no chose but to keep waiting.
not really. it's a chick book. written for teenagers. The story could have been better.
The narrator was good. She was just reading what was written. It was the story
Remove the loud bells ringing toward the end of the book. It will wake the dead!
I tried to continue to listen to it for the 21 day duration, but the loud bells are too much to handle. Plus I don't like the sound of the ocean. It was just to loud and too busy to relax for me. It might work for others, but not for me.
I can think of this having had any good qualities. I didn't benefit from it at all.
I like her voice. She was not overly loud or overly slow. Just right for me. For many people the tone of voice is important. I was able to deal with the tone and was able to relax and even sleep though its entire cd. I did find that I have been more positive in my daily activities. So it must be working.
The "Blue" I have no idea what shade of blue she is talking about. But I keep thinking of "blue"....lol
I'm sure that the Billy Goats in my time were not that mean! I recall them being a bit scary as a child, but these ones in my opinion, were a bit over the edge. Grandkids loved it. It was me that was shocked with the story line. Gave it a 5 star only because it kept the kids listening, even play acting.
Really? Aliens! That was a shocker. I cracked up on this one. Put it on while driving to keep the grandkids quiet. My aunt was with me. And when little bear saids "Maybe its an alien" We both looked at each other and broke out laughing. Well, we got to keep up with the times we're in. If aliens will keep the kids quiet, so be it.....lol
Easy listening. I enjoyed it alot and will listen again. Will do this when the kids are much older to enjoy the story lines.
