"I loved it; I should be ashamed"
Yes. I probably will
I have developed real concern and a desire to find out what happens with these characters. The book is funny and I laughed out loud. I don't know how the author manages to take really bad people and make me like them.
No particular favorite. All were really great.
Yes.
"Kept me listening every chance I got."
Being constantly suprised
Alway Donavan Creed
Both narrators were just right for the characters. They kept me engaged.
"Only listened to this one to keep up ."
The story was solid and exciting. However, I really disliked Mitch's girl friend. She came across as very immature.
The killing Clark.
This narrator did not really feel this character. He was too frantic, too excitable. His narration made it hard for me to finish the book. He should probably do comedies or lighter fair. Mitch Rapp is a dark, dangerous man and the narrator did not capture this at all.
"I laughed out loud."
Funny, enjoyable and easy to listen to.
The Janet Evanavitch books. Same sense of humor. Same since of independence in the women. I really enjoy this series and plan to read them all as they become available.
Yes
"Fun read"
I listen and read to relax. This book is great for easy listening and enjoying a story. Ms. Fisher is what many of us women secretly wish we were. Confident, totally independent, apologising to no one for who she is.
It's dependability, and humor. Even discussing a very real and grusome situation it was still enjoyable and never became maudelin.
She is great as Phrynie Fisher. I don't believe I have heard any other recordings of her work.
"Did Jim Butcher really write this book?"
Very disapointing. The witty sarcastic, funny character of Dresden turned in to a whinny, introspective, person that I didn't care anything about. There was very little of the snap and banter between the chacters that you usually see in these books. The change in narrator's really didn't help. While this narrator is probably very good, he is not Harry Dresden. He was not able to deliver any of the lines with the snap, and punch of Dresden.
"Great read."
Enjoyable, haunting, true
The ability to truthfully characterize people in the black community before the 80's. The characterizations remind me of my childhood.
Really like his voice. Captures what I feel are the inner essences of the characters.
"Did not disappoint"
The cutting sarcastic, in your face attitude of Harry Dresden
The narration and the suspense. I can visualize the characters so well.
To me he Is Harry Dresden.
I'm not able to do that, but I would have
I love this series.
"Excellent Light Read"
Lots of Fun
The story was really funny, easy to listen to and I cared what happened to the characters.
I get a clearer picture of the characters. She seems to flow into each one effortlessly and they all are believable.
I laughed out loud.
I want more.
"Back to basics"
I enjoyed the simplicity of the story. This read brought back the original concept of Anita fighting monsters rather than herself. I hope there are more like this to come.
I enjoyed the focus on the reason for the story, what was happening rather than Anita's relationships. These are important but they had begun to take over the entire book with very little focus on the detecting, fighting and destroying the monster they were after.
Anita. But all were easy to listen to.
No.
