"Exciting and Engrossing"
Storm Prey serves up more of the excellent recipe that John Sanford has the patent on. I was completely caught up in the multiple story lines and Lucas is his usual irrepressible self. I think Richard does another superb job of reading, and with each book in the Prey series, his distinctive voice becomes more and more the voice of Lucas Davenport. If you like the other books in the Prey series, you will absolutely LOVE this book. I don't know what some of the reviewers on here were listening to, but it certainly wasn't THIS book. Great characters, great story, great narration. What else is there?
"Very Enjoyable Read!"
I loved this book. It is a nice, tight story with what were to me extremely interesting characters. Gin is a wonder, she is bright, witty, and so so deadly. I'd marry her if she were real! lol. All in all a good book to curl up with if you enjoy suspense, light humor, vampires and magic users. While Lauren's performance is good, at points during the narrative her voice begins to grate on me, but that is a very small thing. Read this and you will read the whole series, I guarantee you.
"A Rebuttal of Sorts...."
I hate to disagree with anyone, but the unabridged version of Lord of Chaos was only published by Audio Renaissance on Aug. 1 of 2005 according to their website. Oh, and the minimal cost of the unabriged version on the AR website is $89. I think I'll wait patiently for Audible to get it, LOL. I would not buy an abridged version of any book, because having done it in the past I know you are always disappointed.
