People who like cheap, inarticulate writing.
Language and story line is degrading into trivia.
No, Janet had lost her edge.
The last 3 to 4 books are degrading to women and make older people look vain and full of guile.
I HAVE NEVER READ A G.A. MCKEVETT BOOK BEFORE, BUT I WAS GREATLY SURPRISED AT THE STORY LINE, AND INABILITY TO STOP THE STORY. ONCE I GET HOOKED, ALL ELSE STOPS TILL THE END. THIS IS A NEWLY RELEASED BOOK, SO NOW I HAVE TO GO BACK AND BUY THE WHOLE COLLECTION, WHICH PLEASES ME TO NO END. WHAT A WILD AND WACKY HEROINE OF A STORY, SHE IS ENDEARING AS YOU READ HER THOUGHT PROCESSES. A TRULY GOOD BOOK, AND ONE YOU WILL ALL ENJOY, I COME LATE TO THE PARTY BUT I WILL TRAVEL BACKWARDS IN TIME TO THE FIRST AND COME FORWARD. WHAT A TREAT AWAITS ME AS I JUDICIALLY PICK OUT THESE GREAT BOOKS.
THE STORY WAS INTRIGUING, A BIT DRAWN OUT, BUT I ENJOYED HER PERSISTENCE AND ACUTE SKILLS OF OBSERVATION. THE MURDERER WAS NOT SOMEONE YOU WOULD SUSPECT.
The town of Stoneham is a haven for bookstores, but it is sadly lacking in bed-and-breakfasts. Fortunately Pippa and Jon Comfort's Sheer Comfort Inn is about to open, and the couple has offered some locals a free night as a trial run. But it won't be so easy to sleep after Tricia makes two startling discoveries: Pippa's murdered body in the backyard, and the fact that Pippa's husband, Jon, is actually Harry Tyler, a man Tricia loved - and believed dead - for nearly 20 years. Though Harry is the prime suspect, Tricia doesn't believe him capable of murder, even though he's led a life of lies.
WHAT A GREAT LITTLE COZY BOOK. IT IS PART OF A SERIES OF A BOOKSELLER'S STORE, "HAVEN'T GOT A CLUE". FULL OF TWISTS AND TURNS THAT LEAVES YOU EVER READY TO GET BACK TO THE AUDIO. TRICIA, IS A GREAT PROTAGONIST, AND A DETECTIVE IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD....SHE BAFFLES ME, THE END OF THE BOOK OPENS WITH A NEW MYSTERY STARTING AS THE OLD ONE IS SOLVED. A WINNING WAY TO KEEP US COMING BACK TO THIS AUTHOR. WELL WORTH THE CREDIT. LORNA BARRETT IS A GREAT AUTHOR AND KAREN WHITE IS A GREAT NARRATOR. NICE WORK LADIES. WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND.
Cook has written a well-developed mystery here. Her characters are believable. How can anyone go wrong setting something in a coastal New England town? It's a pleasant read, particularly for someone not looking for heavy social issues or lots of violence. ROSE, THE PROTAGONIST IS VERY FUNNY (MY KIND OF GIRL) WHO WILL STOP AT NOTHING TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS MYSTERY; WHILE THE POLICE TRY TO FRAME HER OLD CLASSMATE, FALLEN ON HARD TIMES.
1. HAVE YOUR DICTIONARY HANDY OR GOOGLE SPELL DICTIONARY AS YOU WILL NEED IT. I KNOW MOST WORDS, NO ONE EVER SAYS EXCEPT IN BOOKS, BUT SHE CAUGHT ME WITH A FEW NEW ONES. 2. AUDIBLE PICKED THIS ONE OUT FOR ME IN THEIR HOME PAGE, A PROFILE OF MY LIKES. THEY DID A WONDERFUL JOB IN PROFILING ME, I REALLY LIKED THE BOOK AND WOULD NEVER HAVE FOUND HER AS SHE IS A NEW AUTHOR OR TAKEN THE CHANCE ON HER. AUDIBLE SAID I WOULD LIKE IT AND INDEED THEY WERE CORRECT. TO MY GREAT SURPRISE, I DID.
YOU SEE I HATE PROFILING, SOUNDS LIKE THE GOVERNMENT. TRUST YOUR PROFILES, THEY ARE ALMOST 100% DEAD ON.
VICKEY BLISS CANNOT GET INTO MORE TROUBLE WITHOUT TRYING THAN ANY HEROINE I KNOW. I LOVE THESE BOOKS BY ELIZABETH PETERS, KEEP YOUR DICTIONARY HANDY..LOVE ELUCIDATE. HER BRAINS AND FIGURE ARE HER MAJOR BANE, AS SO MANY MISTAKE HER FOR AN AIRHEAD AND SHE IS DEFINITELY ON THE HIGH SIDE OF THE IQ SCALE; THUS LEADING TO HER MANY QUANDARIES OF A GREAT MYSTERY. CLIVE CUSSLER SHE IS NOT, BUT CLOSE AS YOU CAN GET IN A COZY MYSTERY. ELIZABETH PETERS WRITES A WONDERFUL CHARACTER AND AM COLLECTING THE ENTIRE SET FOR FUN AND KNOWLEDGE OF HISTORY. BARBARA ROSENBLAT IS THE NARRATOR SO SHE HAS THE BEST NARRATOR IN THE FEMALE NARRATORS GENRE. NOW OFF TO #3 IN THE SERIES. SO WORTH THE CREDIT.
THIS NEW SERIES IS REMARKABLE. FULL OF TAUGHT MYSTERY AND GUNS BLAZING WHILE MAKING BREAKFAST, DINNER, AND SUPPER FOR THE PRESIDENT. A BLOOMED CIA AGENT IN DISGUISE AS "CHEF". YOU WILL SIMPLY LOVE THIS NEW SERIES BROUGHT TO AUDIBLE BY AUDIBLE. GOOD JOB, AUDIBLE FOR PICKING UP THIS SERIES. I AM BUYING THEM ALL, TOO GOOD TO PASS UP. WELL WORTH THE CREDITS FOR THE SERIES.
I TOOK A CHANCE ON THIS ONE, AS I LIKE THE PROTAGONIST AND THE NARRATOR. I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED, AS AUDIBLE, HAD PICKED IT OUT FOR ME AS A POSSIBLE "BOOK TO MY ECLECTIC TASTE, THEY WERE RIGHT ON. THANK YOU AUDIBLE, I TRUST YOUR GETTING A TASTE FOR WHAT I LIKE, GOOD JOB. NOW YOU MUST FILL IN HER OTHER BOOKS, I AM HOOKED. DELIGHTFULLY READ FROM AN AUTHOR WITH TALENT. WELL WORTH THE CREDIT, BAITING BREATH FOR MORE, OR AUDIBLE YOU MAKE THEM..YOU HAVE A HIT ON YOUR HANDS. I CANNOT READ SO PLEASE TAKE A CHANCE ON THIS GREAT AUTHOR. LAUDS TO AUDIBLE. I KNOW OTHER LADIES WILL LOVE THIS SERIES AS WELL. MONEY, AND YOU HAVE A LADY DYING FOR MORE. THANK YOU, FAMILY.
This was a good book with plenty of action, non-stop. Great Narrator gets every scene right on the mark. He is one of the best. Well worth the credit.
I AM THRILLED WITH THIS STORY, I APPLAUD THE HISTORY RUN, THE CHARACTERS. VALOR AND TRUE TO THEIR CALL, THEY BRING US FROM ONE STRING OF KNOWLEDGE TO ANOTHER, AN EXCELLENT ADVENTURE. IT IS SO WORTH THE CREDIT.
WE KNOW THE SONG, BUT LIVING OR PAYING WITH THIS AS A CURRENCY IS A FRIVOLOUS PURSUIT. YOU MUST UNLEARN BEFORE ONE'S LIFE IS ORE IT IS "THE CROSS" THAT LIVES AND LETS YOU FLY "TO REACH OUT AND TOUCH THE FACE OF GOD.". ARE YOU ABLE TO CONTEND? IT IS NOT ONE FOR THE TIMID.OF HEAR TED.
