I love the entire subject. Reminded me of a book I read back in 2000 called the Illuminati by Larry Burkett.
I thought the narrator was great. Very soothing voice
I never really had an ending. What did I miss? the book just stopped when the girl got out the fence and ran and then Beck came in with his announcement. Was that the ending? I felt I was left incomplete. Or maybe I didn't get the whole book?
David Rosenfelt is one of my favorite authors. His books are always good. The problem with this book wasn't the story line, it was the narrator. His normal voice was ok, but when he tried to change his voice to sound like other characters in the book, I felt like I was listening to cartoons or some kids show. None of them were believable and it bothered me at times. Kind of spoiled the story. It was like listening to a really suspenseful radio show and suddenly the detective speaks and its Sponge Bob. But I love David Rosenfelt and would still buy his books. Just hope he uses another narrator next time.
Would you give your heart to the one you love?
Great book, great author, great series. Don't bother getting it because they don't have the second book of the series nor some of the others. Why bother getting a few of a series and letting us hang???? I hate it.
If you are looking for a great mystery but with a lighter flair, look no more. Great first book, hope to see more from this author.
