What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I have been enjoying this series up to now. I feel I have been betrayed by author. I didn't sign up this. I am totally offended by her sex life. This is not the book I nor my teens to read on.

Fast moving, captivating, decent originality. Some weakness on character development but enough to kept the storyline going.

"My name is Kvothe. I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep...."

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I like the book until 3/4 of the way. I liked so much that I purchased kindle version as well so i can appreciate the words closely. But why does he have to borrow muslim culture to depict krasian? I think this is an insult to readers that readers are not famliar with other cultures. It was just carelessness. I see this traits toward the end of book. The story become stale not developing. Overall, I enjoyed the book but left a bit of sour taste. Again, could have been a lot better.

    plot is original

    Which scene was your favorite?

concept of warding the body and energy being absorbed inito body.

Was The Warded Man worth the listening time?

    yes

The year is 2380. The Intersolar Commonwealth, a sphere of stars some 400 light-years in diameter, contains more than 600 worlds, interconnected by a web of transport "tunnels" known as wormholes. At the farthest edge of the Commonwealth, astronomer Dudley Bose observes the impossible: Over 1,000 light-years away, a star...vanishes. It does not go supernova. It does not collapse into a black hole. It simply disappears.

The plot is too big from the beginning of the series. I find it difficult to correlate the story. Author tries to put together toward at end but it is not captivating.

Then, the unspeakable: a night of chaos and carnage gives way to sunrise on a nation, and ultimately a world, forever altered. All that remains for the stunned survivors is the long fight ahead and a future ruled by fear—of darkness, of death, of a fate far worse.

worst of all, second author didn't bother read first section!! I did enjoyed first section although there was no ending to it. So, you are getting two books for one price. Wait, second section, just read "I am a legend" instead. It's shame..it could have been better. I am upset to people lure me into it.

    "Wild Fire"
    Overall

I find the idea of "Wild Fire" insane as terrorist who thought of using plane as a bomb. The development of the story left me something missing but can't quite pin point what..however, I have enjoyed the book and learned a few things too. This is one of a few books that I actually listened besides commuting time.
