Dear Inga, I’m thinking it is not good for my baby and me to stay much longer in Whistle Creek, Idaho. The sheriff is showing altogether too much interest. I suppose I should feel flattered, for Carson Barclay is not only strikingly handsome, but a man of character and faith who has shown Keary and me considerable kindness. But I’m afraid his affections are ones I cannot return. The secret I bear makes a future with him impossible. Yet Inga, when Sheriff Barclay is near, it’s everything in my Irish heart that wishes otherwise.

If you could sum up In His Arms in three words, what would they be?

This is the first of Robin Lee Hatcher's books that I've read, and I must say I enjoyed it very much.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I didn't enjoy this book as much as I expected to, knowing how much I enjoy listening to Watchman Nee's books. I haven't even finished listening to it. Maybe if I complete the book, by the end of it I may have changed my mind. But so far, it's boring.

    "Spectacular Reading"
    Overall

This is an 8 book series, but unfortunately only the first 3 books of the series are on audible.com. I've just completed "Love's Long Journey." It'll make you laugh, and cry. I really enjoyed listening to these books, and hope the other 5 books come to audible.com real soon. However, I don't want to wait long to find out what happens next, so I’ll just start purchasing the remaining books, and start reading.

When it was first published in 1979, this novel introduced inspirational fiction to people hungry for well-told stories based on Christian values. Since then, over a million copies have been sold, and it has been made into a popular Hallmark movie. Janette Oke has won the Christy Award, the Gold Medallion, and scores of other awards.

One of the original founders of the Christian fiction genre, Janette Oke has authored more than 75 books and has recieved such accolades as the Christy and Gold Medallion Awards. This story of a frontier family begins where Love Comes Softly left off, telling the heart-warming tale of a marriage that began in tragedy but has flourished due to Marty and Clark's devotion to one another and to God.

  • Heavenly Man: The Remarkable True Story of Chinese Christian Brother Yun

The dramatic autobiography of one of China's dedicated, courageous, and intensely persecuted house church leaders. This is the gripping story of how God took a young, half-starved boy from a poor village in Henan province and placed him on the front line for Jesus, in the face of impossible odds. Instead of focusing on the many miracles or experiences of suffering, however, Yun prefers to focus on the character and beauty of Jesus.

Jeanne says: "Great book, one of my old time favorites."
    "Powerfully Moving"
    Overall

I truly enjoyed this book. Powerfully moving. Definitely make you re-evaluate your relationship, and walk with the Lord. Have you really had an encounter with the Lord? How intimate are you with Him? Does He really, know you? I believe there will come a time of ultimate testing for all of us, no matter where we live; when we will really see where we are in Christ, and how strong our relationship is in Him. Truly enjoyed this book -- would definitely recommend it to others.
