There is not enough humor in this book to be considered satire. It comes off as resentful and depressing. The whole nanny situation seems a sad state of affairs.
I'm not sure which I disliked more, the acting or the writing. I thought the story was dull and it moved to slowly. The acting was distracting. I would pass on this one.
This book is one exciting ride. It is well written with plenty of plot twists and decent character development. I loved it. It was hard to turn off the CD when it came time to get out of the car.
This book is worth the time to listen, but does move a little slowly. It is not quite as sappy as his previous books--quite a statement about Sparks.
This is a classic Shreve book. Everything is written in reverse and really doesn't make sense until the end. But it was enjoyable, if not realistic. Can anybody be that obsessed?
The book was highly addictive. I didn't want to shut it off. Overall, enough plot twists to keep me interested. Good character development and I thouroughly enjoyed it.
