"GREAT BOOK!"
This book is the first of a three part series. I loved this book. Of all three, I believe that this one was my favorite for whatever reason. As I have said again and again, you have to remember that you have to have an open mind going into this book/series. It is not meant to be anything more than a thought provoking book, in my opinion. It is obvious that the author comes from a Christian background but I think that he asks questions that everyone has asked or wanted to ask or thought as sometime or another. It definately is a great discussion book, I think it can help you form your own thoughts on what you believe in think. However, I can see where those who are very strict in thier organised religion could get a little irritated. I confess at times I wanted to puff up like a blow fish to a shark but, the fact of the matter is if you can't let go of your preconcieved notions and just read this book to help you become more sturdy in your thoughts and maybe even change your thoughts a little then this is not what you want to read. I loved it and I know that I will want to read the series over and over again just to see if I can catch anything I missed. I have had very good inner conversations with myself as well as others on how it changed my thinking, I agreed with thoughts or I thought that thought was a load of crock. I believe it is a great beginning to a wonderful series:)
"Not my kind of book"
I liked the "Before the story" story of this book. However, I was constantly confused and getting distracted because I felt the book just dragged on.
I would say no just because it felt like a job to try to finish this book.
I got this book because I was wanting to see the Musical that is coming locally. If anything it has made me not want to see it. It was just not my type of book.
"Engaging!"
I don't think that I would listen to it again but that would only be because I do not often reread books.
Bernadette is my favorite character because she is such a lively and vibrant person. She has such a quirky personality which I adored throughout the book.
I think that Bea is performed the best by the narrator
There was not a particular moment that moved me.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a book that kept my interest. I really loved it!
"Very good book!"
I loved this book! I thought it had a lot of good suggestions as well as truths about opening up your psychic ability. I felt that having the author read the book was very helpful as well because he puts emphasis on things that need to really stick out. I have recommended this and will probably read it again. A downfall with this book is that the author talks about his website very often and a code you can use to gain some access to it. I did try to do as he states but the offer was out of date. I kind of felt that with the book only being published in 2010 that the "offer" should still be somewhat valid instead of null and void. But that is really my only downfall of the book which really doesn't have anything to do with the book. I felt that I gained some true insight and help from this book for connecting with my spirit guides.
"Still on the fence"
I have only listened to two episodes of this and I am still on the fence. It is definitely what I thought this broadcast would be about. I find myself giggling at times during the show but then sometimes I feel very bored. I have to say that with the last episode I have listened to I leaned more towards the liking it. I guess I thought It was going to be more like Talk Sex with Sue or that sexline with Dr.Drew and Adam Carrola. I loved those shows and this is really nothing like those shows so I guess I will continue to listen and will offer another review once I have come to a full conclusion.
"My least favorite of the three but I still good!"
I do have to say of all three books this one was the slowest moving for me. However, that doesn't take away from how much I have enjoyed these books. I have said it on all three of my reviews for these books that these are not for those who are not open minded spiritually. I had a hard time at times trying to grasp what the author was trying to get across and I consider myself a very open minded person. SPOILER++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
For instance, in this book "God" states that Hitler is in heaven. At first I had a very hard time swallowing this. I about pulled over on the side of the road ( I usually listen while driving because I travel much for my job) because I was kind of irritated at first for the thought of saying that. I felt very mad that someone would even suggest someone like Hitler would be in heaven. I had to pull myself away from my preconcieved notions and start the chapter over again because I felt I was being close minded which was not what I wanted to do with the book. It definitely continues to build on the thoughts and ideas of book one. These books are very thought provoking and insightful. I really thought that these books are wonderful reads but this one is the slowest of all of them.
"Interesting closing to the trilogy"
I believe that this last installment of Conversations With God wraps up the trilogy beautifully. It continues to go into depth and build on what has been talked about in the previous installments. This book is not your normal run of the mill religious book. I would recommend it to others (and I have). However, it is not for people who are very strict in their thinking and beliefs. It really causes you to think about religion, spirituality and life in an abstact and different way. I really enjoyed this series but I know numerous people who would not be open to the thoughts and ideas in this book. Also I don't think you can just read these books once. I foresee myself reading them over and over again to see if there is anymore I can take away from the text. If you are open to new thoughts and ideas about God, spirituality, and life this maybe the book for you, if not I would try to find something else. I could see how some could get annoyed with the authors thoughts, however I think if you take the book as a whole as an idea and take away what you want from it you will enjoy it. It is very thought provoking I loved it!
