It's werewolf mating season. All the males are in heat and the driving, sexual lust of their beasts is almost uncontrollable. Mika is human, in an alley, surrounded by four horny werewolves. She knows she's in deep shit. A tall, handsome werewolf rescues her then demands payment. Hot, sweaty, intimate payment. Grady is a half breed whose human mother abandoned him to his werewolf father, so he knows human women just aren't safe to fall in love with. The wolf within him wants Mika as his mate, but Grady will not give in. Never. Ever.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend anything by Laurann Dohnner. I have read all her books and love the fact that I can now listen to them when I am doing chores and driving.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mate Set?

I believe my favorite moment in the book is when Mika and Grady run into each other after they have already met and have to keep the fact from Mika's uncle Omar.

    Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when Grady has to explain himself for the fact he lied to Mika and had to explain why he was trying to trick her into thinking Mating Season was still happening.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I had strong reactions as a woman. I could feel how hurt Mika is during the whole book and how being a human makes it impossible to make Grady love her.

    Any additional comments?

Sometimes Grady is a huge jerk, but he can also be the most sweet man in the world. He takes Mika on a wild ride of emotions until they finally get together and settle into a couple who can manage both worlds.

    Story
What did you love best about The Energy Bus?

I'll tell you why there are a small number of people who are disliking and discrediting this book, because they haven't learned the principles of it and are too busy being negative about everything! I hate to say it, but this book changed the whole dynamics of my team. I made it a necessity for my leaders to listen to and I have seen a huge difference because of it.

What did you like best about this story?

It is a simple story to follow. And some of the critics who don't like it say it's so unrealistic. I beg to differ. I found a lot of myself in this book and so did a lot of my team! And it's a whole lot more interesting than some of the other stuff I've paid a lot more to listen to and been bored to death.

What does Jon Gordon bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I honestly would never have "read" the book. It was suggested at a conference I attended and I was so impressed by the energy of the speaker, I had to see for myself. I mainly listen to self development. For some reason, I can read a 400 page book in a day, easily, if it's entertainment. But, make it non-fiction or self development and I can't keep my eyes open 5 minutes.

What did you learn from The Energy Bus that you would use in your daily life?

I have kicked so many negative thoughts, feelings and people out of my life AND I achieved the top of my company because I shared it with my team.

    Any additional comments?

I'm in Direct Sales, but I tell my team, this book is not about Direct Sales. It's about life and how to easily learn to make yours a happy one. I honestly feel quite sorry for the people who took nothing positive from this experience.

Loved the story but the reader was just so flat. Made you wonder if he read the book before he started recording.

A few voices were pretty good, but sounded like an eight year old was reading out loud. No inflection most of the time.

Not sure I would buy another he reads.

I'm an avid reader, but I'm very glad I picked this series to listen on Audible instead of reading it. The narrators have done an excellent job with all the characters and their quirky natures. I hope to hear more from this series.

Four was especially delightful, as we got to see him as a boy with more insecurities than anyone else in the
series. It was refreshing to hear his side of events.

    Happily Ever After

What did you like best about this story?

I loved that this book had everything I want in a good story. Great characters, great plot, wonderful voice to listen to while getting involved in the story and hard problems to solve.

What about Kirsten Potter’s performance did you like?

Kirsten Potter did an excellent job with the narration, especially the accents.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

She lived in a world of her own making, until he woke her up from her hibernation.

    Any additional comments?

Great book. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

If you could sum up Ender's Game in three words, what would they be?

    Thought provoking adventure

What other book might you compare Ender's Game to and why?

Interestingly enough, this book kind of reminded me of the Harry Potter books, only in a more serious setting. Both have young boys who are thrust into a world they do not understand. Both learn to cope with all the downfalls and life lessons as they make friends and fight evil.

Have you listened to any of Stefan Rudnicki and Harlan Ellison ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

New listener to both, but the performance was great!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to most of it on a long car trip. Had a hard time when we had to stop. My husband listened as well and we both enjoyed it.

    Any additional comments?

Even though this book was written 20 years ago, it is a great story line and really makes us think about humanity and how we would react to an actual alien invasion. It also makes you think about how the world will look in the future. Very though provoking.

What did you love best about Beast Behaving Badly?

I love the shifter world that Shelly Laurenston has created. Every character is rich in details and humor. I usually laugh from the first to the last page.

What other book might you compare Beast Behaving Badly to and why?

I have read a lot of shifter books, but Shelly Laurenston has my favorite shifter only series. I also enjoy her Dragon series books, written as G.A. Aiken as well.

What about Charlotte Kane’s performance did you like?

I loved Charlotte Kane's performance. She has just enough deep growl in her voice to convey the shifters perfectly while still making the women sound like women and the men like men. Being from the south, it's hard to get the southern accent right, but she did a really good job.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh, a lot. If you want a serious romance, stay away from Laurenston. If you want a laugh your pants off and enjoy a really good story book, then pick up any of hers.

    Any additional comments?

This is not the first book in the series. I would recommend reading in this order:
    The Mane Event
    The Beast in Him
    The Mane Attraction
    The Mane Squeeze
    Beast Behaving Badly
    Big Bad Beast
    Bear Meets Girl
    Wolf With Benefits
Howl For It anthology – "Like a Wolf With a Bone"

So, as you can see, Beast Behaving Badly is the 5th book. It contains characters from the other books, which build on the series and make the whole thing enjoyable.
