  • Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About

    • UNABRIDGED (13 hrs and 38 mins)
    • By Kevin Trudeau
    • Narrated By Kevin Trudeau

Kevin Trudeau blows the lid off a nest of deception and double standards concerning general and individual health in this new book, Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About. Kevin has risked government prosecution to bring you the full story of an intricate conspiracy.

Chrisman J. Harris says: "patient of natural healing"
"Thank you Kevin ! - Straight forward, Honest"

Not only was the book excellent, but you can tell Kevin is speaking straight from the heart. One of the best and most honest books I've ever read. Thank you Kevin for this gift of healing words. I've recommended this book to everyone I meet.
    THANK YOU KEVIN !!!!!!!

"Please ... do not waste your time reading this."
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

In the last 11 years ... I've read 558 books ... this book is the WORST.
Why ? ... The book is like reading research notes. The book is as dry as the Sahara desert.... The book seems to be written by a bunch of scientist who want to impress their colleagues .... I usually read every book to the end .... However, after suffering through 70% of this book .. I had to delete it. Please ..... do not waste your time reading this book. Thank you !

What was most disappointing about Sahotra Sarkar and Anya Plutynski ’s story?

The book seems to be written by a bunch of scientist who want to impress their colleagues.

How could the performance have been better?

Give me the "silver bullets" or great ideas ...and put it all into a 6 hour book (instead of 38 hours) ... Make it interesting .... and fun to read. :o)

What character would you cut from A Companion to the Philosophy of Biology?

Start over .... write a different book ...

    Any additional comments?

As the narrator said half way through the book (( it wasn't edited out )) "God dammit ... I'm taking lunch " ..... I should have "taken lunch" ... before I even started reading this book.

  • Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life

    • UNABRIDGED (14 hrs and 35 mins)
    • By Barbara Kingsolver
    • Narrated By Barbara Kingsolver, Steven L. Hopp, Camille Kingsolver

When Barbara Kingsolver and her family move from suburban Arizona to rural Appalachia, they take on a new challenge: to spend a year on a locally-produced diet, paying close attention to the provenance of all they consume. Animal, Vegetable, Miracle follows the family through the first year of their experiment.

    Sydney says: "Eye opening"
"Comedy, Drama, Environment, - what a great book !!"

I found my self wondering why this great book about animals / vegetables wasn't also to be found in the comedy genre. Barbara is funny, witty, and VERY intelligent. She would also make a great philosophy professor. I love the way she thinks. THANK YOU ! Barbara, Camille and Steven. This was one of the best books I've read.

  • A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 19 mins)
    • By Daniel H. Pink
    • Narrated By Daniel H. Pink

Lawyers. Accountants. Software Engineers. That what Mom and Dad encouraged us to become. They were wrong. Gone is the age of "left-brain" dominance. The future belongs to a different kind of person with a different kind of mind: designers, inventors, teachers, storytellers - creative and emphatic "right-brain" thinkers whose abilities mark the fault line between who gets ahead and who doesn't.

Caroline says: "should have listened to Joseph"
    "A Whole New Mind"

There are very books I like to read more than once, this book is one them. I think I will read this book 2 more times. Very interesting, amplicable, and thought provoking information. Thank you Daniel for this helpful, and fun book.

  • Our Mutual Friend

    • UNABRIDGED (36 hrs and 32 mins)
    • By Charles Dickens
    • Narrated By David Timson

A mysterious boatman on the Thames, a drowned heir, a dustman and his wife, and a host of other Dickens characters populate this novel of relationships between the classes, money, greed, and love. The 58 characters are presented with remarkable clarity by David Timson.

    A. Millard says: "A Masterpiece"
"David Timson makes this Charles Dickens Novel Live"

Narrator: David Timson makes this Charles Dickens Novel Live

This is the most enjoyable novel I've listened to yet on David makes all 58 characters come to life with such clarity that you are transported to the 1800's. I'm sure if Charles Dickens were to listen to David's narration he would laugh and cry just like I have. A big thank you to David and Charles.

  • A Crack in the Edge of the World: America and the Great California Earthquake of 1906

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 30 mins)
    • By Simon Winchester
    • Narrated By Simon Winchester

The international best-selling author of The Professor and the Madman and Krakatoa vividly brings to life the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake that leveled a city symbolic of America's relentless western expansion. Simon Winchester has also fashioned an enthralling and informative look at the tumultuous subterranean world that produces earthquakes, the planet's most sudden and destructive force.

    Drayton says: "This Book Delivers"
    "Geology, History and Short Stories"

I really enjoyed this detailed account of the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco. Simon Winchester put a great deal of work into all of the social as well as geological conditions of that time. I loved how he combined so many short stories into the telling of this great event. I was particularly interested in the story of the Pentecostal movement and how it began. Simon takes the reader way back in time and then leads him through many fascinating stories. Since he wrote this book however, earthquake prediction has become much more accurate, thanks in part to

  • Love Rules

    • UNABRIDGED (14 hrs and 12 mins)
    • By Freya North
    • Narrated By Tara Ward

Thea Luckmore believes in love, the magic spark of true, old-fashioned, romantic love. She's determined only to fall head over heels, or rather, heart over head. Alice Heggarty, her best friend, is always falling in lust, with dashing rogues who invariably break her heart. As yet another disastrous relationship ends, Alice makes a decision. It's time to marry and she knows just the man.

Colleen says: "Love Rules was Great!"
    "Great Love Story"

Beautifully written love story. It was fun bouncing through the many ups and downs of their lives. I would agree with many things that Thea and Alice confide in, but I would have to cling to my theory that true love comes by finding someone exactly like you. I like what Tony Robbins says "Rapport is power" and "Rapport is created by a feeling of commonality. When you have something in common, that's when rapport is really ignited." "People like people who are like themselves." "People say that 'opposites attract', BULL!... you have to have similarities to be attracted." - "First Compatibility, Then Love"

  • The Fountainhead

    • UNABRIDGED (31 hrs and 45 mins)
    • By Ayn Rand
    • Narrated By Christopher Hurt

Arguably the century's most challenging novel of ideas, The Fountainhead is the story of a gifted young architect, his violent battle with conventional standards, and his explosive love affair with the beautiful woman who struggles to defeat him. This unabridged recording of the classic features the voice of actor Christopher Hurt.

    Lisa says: "Amazing!"
    "Dominique Francon - means"

What a great name Ayn Rand chose for one of the leading characters of this incredibly sensitive and revealing novel of men that walk the earth! All I can say is thank you Ayn Rand !
