This is not a 'handbook' on social media, it is a collection of essays and reports done over the past few years by several different authors explaining the rise and importance of social media for business. Lots of statistics on who is using social media and growth trends over the past few years. But with the speed at which social media moves, the information is largely out of date going into 2013.
At then end of the book, you are really no further ahead then when you started .... unless you were unsure if social media is catching on.
I have been reading Salvatore's books since the early '90's when I picked up the Crystal Shard, and he has remained one of my all time favorite authors. Lots of action and lots of story building. He has made such an impact on Faerun over the years, campaigns would not have been the same without his influence.
This, book one of the Sundering, is the most exciting book since the Crystal Shard. This book sets the stage for the 'rebirth' of Faerun and the return of the Gods and magic. The Companions of the Hall are reunited and it was not cheesy at all.
I'm glad to hear Mr. Bevine is the narrator again. He does a fantastic job and I look forward to hearing more from him. I can't wait to see what adventures befall the Companions in the next book. As with all of Salvatore's books, this one is well worth the credit.
CAUTION: If you have not played D&D for a number of years, this novel may make you want to blow the dust off your books and call up your old adventuring party. Faerun is going to get really really interesting.
I found this book really slow and almost void of adventure. It was a good listen, but largely because I was always thinking, 'OK, now it is going to get interesting'. Being the first in a series, it is often tough for an author to lay down all of the ground work for the world, the history and the characters and then throw in a few things to make it interesting. I found this novel to be a good foundation to build on, but just didn't capture me enough to go onto the second book in the series. But, I do like a good Orc bashing, and there are no Orcs.
I really enjoyed this, the third book in the series. If you enjoyed the first two, you will enjoy this one. The author wraps up the trilogy nicely and writes one of the best 'death of a hero' scenes I have read.
A new take on the Zombie invasion... this time with Superheros and zombie superheros. My first thought was this is going to be silly, but the reviews are good. After reading it, it was silly, but it was also fun. I don't know if I will go on to read book two, but this one was worth the credit.
This was a good book. If you read and enjoyed the first book, you will probably like this one. Several years have passed from the first book to this one but the story continues on nicely. Unfortunately, the author does repeat quite a bit from the first book, reminding the reader who everyone is and the like. The performance is just as good as the first book. I am looking forward to the third book in the series. This book was worth the credit.
Such a fun fantasy story set in modern day Oregon. Sure there are a few hokey things like gunpowder won't work anymore, but all in all it is a really enjoyable listen. The apocalypse has happened and there is no explanation as to why, but that does not take away from the story. Everyone is scrambling to survive and you really start to think "what would you do?"
The story develops well and keeps your interest throughout. the narration was great and if your looking for an apocalyptic book without zombies.....this is it.
Certainly worth the credit.
I really enjoyed this book. The first book Divergent was great, but Insurgent was even better. Continuing off where the first book ended, the action is fast paced and the story continues to develop well. The ending was done really well, it sets the scene so that book 3 could take us anywhere. This could easily become a series with several books in it.
One of the better narrators that I have listened to, Emma does excellent voices and is enjoyable to listen to. Keep the coming!
Wow...R.A. Salvatore does it again! All of his books are so consistently great! And, it is so awesome to have Entreri back in the game adventuring with our favorite hero Drizzt. A real blast from the past and such a fun character. If you have read the other two, read this one! I truly enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one in the series.
Another great installment in the Ranger's Apprentice series. I have waited so long for this one to be available on Audible so I could continue on with the rest of the series. What a fantastic book. Flanagan does it again, weaving an intriguing story and pulling so many different factions together. If you like the other books, you will like this one just as much or even more!
I have been a fan of R.A.Salvatore's work since the Crystal Shard hooked me and sent me down this path. Gauntlgrym is another epic beginning. If your new to the Forgotten Realms or an old adventurer like myself, your going to love this book!
True to his style, the action is awesome! and you don't want to put the book down.
The narration was well done and enjoyable to listen to. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
