"Bravo!"
I loved this story. Great characters and a build up for the next in this series. Can never go wrong with Lisa Kleypas.
"Will the Real Lisa Kleypas Please Stand Up"
I love Lisa Kleypas books. I own about all of them, so this one would be a given. Right? Well, the "Lisa magic" is missing from this book. It has some funny lines and some tenderness, but it seems like she tried too hard to stuff too much in this book with witches, family issues (which I am not sure are resolved), a lot of food descriptions and even an attempt at a Fifty Shades scene. (Which I am not sure how I feel about this in her books).
However, I have to say this book had a cute storyline, but never felt the connection with the characters, like she has written in past books.
If you like Lisa's books I would say take the chance you might find something you like in this book.
If you are new to Lisa's work save your money and purchase one of her earlier historical romances.
"A surprise!"
This audio book was great surprise, the storyline is fresh and loved all of the characters.
I loved Duncan and Jane - they are a great match.
When Duncan found out that John was actually Jane.
"Slow but Delightful"
The progression of this book was slow in the beginning, but by the second part of the book it picked up some steam and was enjoyable. I liked the book and would listen to this again.
Liked the characters, even the "bad guy" in the book.
Looking forward to any future books by this author.
The narrator was good, would listen to another book she narrates.
"JQ does it again!"
Julia Quinn has always wrote books that I enjoy, this one is right up there with her best. Loved the characters and found myself not able to stop the audiobook. Will be listening to this one over and over again.
"Not bad, but not my favorite."
I didn't feel like I wasted my time with this book, but it wasn't my favorite. The book seems to follow the romance typical recipe in book development. I enjoyed it - would even listen to it again, however it just left me feeling - Ehh.
"Suspense and romance"
I liked that there is a mystery/suspense that carries on to the next book. The friendship that develops between the main characters in this book, as well that all sub characters are equally important. The kids in this book are too cute! (reminded me of my son). The plot of the book is unique and yet very familiar. I would give the story a B+. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
I love Rosalyn Landor's voice in all of the books she has read - she doesn't disappoint.
"Can't go wrong with this one!"
Just can not go wrong with Sabrina Jeffries. I love everyone of her books in this series.
"I love this series!!!"
I love this series. You can;t go wrong in listening to this book. Even if the Scottish Highlander isn't your thing this would still be a great book. It has a story line that keeps you interested that starts with the first book and is filled with romance.
"Mixed Emotions"
I like this book, but it was like taking any regular romance novel and editing it so only the sex scences appear and dash in a tragedy and a I love you in the end and poof you have a book.
The book story was orginal to a point and I liked the charaters - I would listen again if I needed a short story and was needing a heavy romance.
She was ok - wouldn't mind a another book by this narrator.
"Beautifully Written!"
Wow ! What a great book. This a very gentle and natual romance. I felt the progression of the romance and bond between the characters throughout the book. The main characters are well written and I enjoyed the strength of both. Even the other minor character are well written. I felt like I was a fly on the wall watching all the wonderful interactions.
The character voices
I was apprehensive at first on buying this book. But was very surprised how much I really liked it. It will be on my list to listen to again and again.
