"Unexpectedly Good, Start with Part 2"
I chose this book because it was on sale and appeared to have unique and wholesome love story. The stories were simple, and even though I knew how they would end, I enjoyed each of the three stories. The narration was not very animated, but it suited the audiobook.
The only other issue was the order of the stories. For some reason, the stories were loaded backwards so that the first story should have been last and so on. It didn't really materially affect the plots, but there are references of characters from the interconnected storylines that make more sense if read in the proper order.
"Hilarious!"
The main character was unfiltered, acting out like most of us want to do when wronged.
The opening scene was great.
The narrator captured the women's voices fairly well.
"Lots of Cursing"
Okay, I guess I should have expected this given the title, but seriously, listening to this book was like watching an episode of the Sopranos. The book had an outrageous plot and some pretty funny scenes, the characters were interesting and overall this was just like other Jennifer Crusie books. If you don't mind the cursing and enjoyed other Crusie novels then you will probably enjoy this one too. Oh yeah, the narrator did a good job.
"Enjoyable"
I enjoyed Faking It although it was not my favorite Crusie book. The narration did not take away from the story. The characters are definitely different. If you are looking for a light, easy summer listen this will foot the bill.
"Good wrap up"
This story was much like the other books in this trilogy. I appreciated the biblical references and spiritual encouragement. The narrator did an outstanding job creating distinct voices and bringing life to the story. I was not disappointed.
"Fun, fun, fun!"
I really enjoyed this book and did not want it to end. I'm ready for the sequel. The story line was quirky and characters were fun. Great diversion and light listen. This was the first Crusie novel for me but won't be the last.
"Loved It!"
I bought this book because of the rating and other reviews. I was not disappointed. The voices were perfect and added a lot to the audiobook. The story was far more appealing than I thought it could be. By the end, I was literally on the edge of my seat.
"Just okay"
I wanted to read the book because of the movie, but there were some significant differences. The book provided less of a love story than I expected. I was actually a little disappointed by the story as told in the book. The narrator did a good job, though.
"Easy Listen & Good Narration"
The 2010 movie inspired me to read/listen to this book. I am a sucker for love stories, and the book was much better than the movie! The characters are better developed, and the plot line is more believable. I have listened to the book at least twice and still love it. The narrator did a great job with all the characters. This is a light book; if you are looking for a sweet love story with complications, you will not be disappointed.
