Drizzt's is finally breaking with all the familiar trappings and coming to terms that all the old friends and loved ones he found at his side for aid and direction in life are going or gone and he must fine a new reason to live. Of course RS is handling this beautifully and leaves me with nothing but confident optimism and well as anticipation for what lies down the road for my favorite D&D based recurring hero. This books does a beautiful job of expressing the pain of having to move on from a chapter in your life yet transitioning wonderfully as the changing from 3.5 to 4.0 for Forgotton Realms leaves the world that Drizzt lives in ripe for new adventure.
The building climax in each book and how you can sense an even longer term larger climax culminating with each book is so rich and tantlating. By this book the change from the original narrator is not even an issue anymore.
A grand scale world at war and large cast of unique characters are brought to life by amazing narration. If you love a narration where each character has their own unique voice(you can easily believe it was a hole team!) then look no further.
The culmination of this series hurts and yet feels so good. The powerful storm of events coming to a head is done masterfully and narrated with amazing skill.
I loved going through all of this with Vin. Growing, losing, reaching new levels as the world she knows expands around her. The author not only creates an amazing world of mistlings and mistborn(super powered but far from invincible heros/villains) but a truly deep and realistic world for them to inhabit. The narrator does an amazing job of immersing you in it as well.
Sweet golden silk in my ears. This emotional roller coaster of a tale just keeps getting better and better! Can't stop loving this narrator/author combo!
The only complaint I have about this book is how fast the ride seemed to end! Once again the narrator brings to life an amazing book in such a way to surpass and enhance the original medium.
The narrator truly captures and brings to life another merry book in a way that surpasses my memories of the actual book I that I so enjoyed reading in paper format.
A talented author and storyteller join as expertly in this performance as merry does with her many would be kings.
Hilarious, Entertaining, Addicting!
Every Character is flushed and 3 dimensional(which is only showcased and made even more possiable by the incredible narrator's vocal talent and seemingly perfect realization of each different accent and vocal pattern.
If you don't enjoy just about EVERY moment of dialogue with Oberon then you have no funnybone!
Loved every moment of it, this book was a perfect marriage of a deep and promising magic in the real world type book with a narrator who takes a great story and makes you feel like you are right there talking with the whole cast.
