Cayce Pollard is an expensive, spookily intuitive market-research consultant. In London on a job, she is offered a secret assignment: to investigate some intriguing snippets of video that have been appearing on the Internet. An entire subculture of people is obsessed with these bits of footage, and anybody who can create that kind of brand loyalty would be a gold mine for Cayce's client. But when her borrowed apartment is burgled, she realizes there's more to this project than she had expected.

This was a horrible book. It lacked imagination, and rambled on and on. I suffered through the whole book and the ending just made it seem so pointless. Character developement was flat and 2d, so I didn't even care if there was a point to their story.

I had a friend who also bought this book and found it to be the same, he didn't even listen to the whole thing. If we had only in advance that we were both looking at it, might have saved some money.

The year is 2020: Corporations control everything. In the name of domination, these sprawling organizations have recruited their own military forces to fight clandestine battles against one another, a war fought in the boardrooms and won in the shadows, with the public none the wiser.

There is no true character developement and plot line is too simplistic. It was a neet idea but the authur failed to deliver anything of interest.

Anne Rice, best selling author of The Vampire Chronicles, delves into the mysterious legend of the mummy in this original and poetic tale of romance and horror. It begins in the early 1900s when archaeologist Lawrence Stratford discovers a perfectly preserved mummy in a tomb in Cairo. Little does he know that the mummy has consumed an extraordinary potion that makes him immortal; only the powerful rays of the sun are needed to bring him to life.

The Mummy is one of my favorite Anne Rice stories. I found the whole concept better then any mummy story to date. I story is face pace and I love the fact she brought in Cleo. I was as captavatied with Ramses as I was with Lestat. I'm just sorry she never went on to write more, making a Mummy series.
