Strong action and a superb reading.
The cluster at the hospital, dealing with Milo and crew while also dealing with the infected - intense, good action.
Just the first novel in this series - he nails this reading.
This is a very strong series for anyone who likes a spin on zombie apocalypse or good survivalist action novels. The dialogue could use some editing and Lee should have gotten a bit more training on how to make pragmatic decisions under stress, but very little to find fault in with this series thus far.
A very scary-cool view into the Governor's decent into madness.
This guy does a great job in my opinion, great Afro-American, great southern and great latino accents - throw in some old men and distinct women voices - very talented voice!
I never read the comics (wish I had), but love the show - how cool to see the Governor develop from 3 days into the plague to his arrival in Woodbury - WHAT A TWIST!!
So cool to go back and read something that took shape in a very real way
Great pace and overall plot line
Amirha - crazy beautiful, psycho, zealot, genius - 'nuff said
Fun read overall, to be picky the dialogue is a bit challenged in places.....e.g. lovely heroine is pouring out her heart about the death of her child and hero's line is "have some beer" :)
The performance was a work of art
Mama, you zaomench!
Perhaps the best performance I've enjoyed thus far on Audible
Really solid story and pace this time around and I can't wait for the next one.
The writer has developed a bit, the story is better paced and with less extraneous distractions.
If I had to. This guy needs some tonal variance, he's got a great, rich voice, but his rhythm needs serious work as well.
The writer needs a good editor to trim some of the random, irrelevant content that is disruptive to the story flow. That being said, the story progresses and the characters were developing - i'll definitely give book 2 a try.
I'd listen to the entire series again - the writing and the story gets progressively better, very cool to see the author develop along with the characters and storyline.
Other than Lee I think I'd have to give a strong vote for Angela or Old Man Hughes.
Such a great reading, thank you!
If I had to find one area to be critical and offer guidance - reduce/limit the simile in descriptions....."she cracked a smile like drying plaster in the Arizona sun"...or whatever,,,,,a bit over the top :) A great read/listen, best so far - hard to find much to be critical about, looking forward to the next one. Thank you,
The author has found his stride, good balance of character development, action, drama and plot development. Well read and well written
Jerry - you bastard!
Very strong reading, love the voice(s)
The foreshadowing is a bit heavy handed....where are the female infected...once was probably enough, twice (we'll give you the benefit of the doubt), beyond that = do you think the reader isn't paying attention? :) Nitpicking though
