The reader is almost as good as the original with Boris Karloff.
Cindy Lou Who
The character in his voice.
Old Favourite with wonderful message.
Another 5 star story by Alexander McCall Smith. But that is no surprise. His series about these wonderful characters who live in Botswana is so refreshing in these days of murder and mayhem.
I feel as if I know them all and could easily find them if I made the trip to Botswana.
In The Company Of Others is an inspiring book written by Jan Karon. It is part of the Mitford series and, like all the others in this series is a joy to read or listen to. The author's writing skills are top notch and her creation of the town of Mitford and all its wonderful inhabitants a real blessing.
Please, Jan Karon, keep up the good work.
I love Dame Agatha! And having David Suchet as the reader is sheer genius. He knows her characters so well and seems to become them in your minds eye.
The pairing of Christie and Suchet brings so much to the story that the reader or listener go through the book so quickly that they come to the end much too soon.
Anything Billy Graham writes is based on Biblical principles and personal experience. Therefore, I would take it in and learn from his teachings. Billy is an honest writer and speaker.
What he writes about in this book, most people just don't want to talk about. But, as usual, Billy Graham meets issues head on. He has a gentle but strong way of presenting to the reader or listener.
I would read anything the man writes.
The Cat Who Came Indoors is a good story. Of course, I like the lesson about who is the best. But then I am a woman. lol I was disappointed at the brevity of the story. I expected a longer one.
I always love the characters and how they interact and grow.
The plots always keep me interested. I read this book in one sitting.
Lisette Lecat is the perfect reader for this series. Her accent as well as her understanding of the material make for a wonderful visit in Botswana.
Of course and I did.
Alexander McCall Smith keep them coming.
I have always loved A Christmas Carol: I have a copy written in Pitman Shorthand. We watch the 1951 story every year
Tim Curry is a wonderful choice to read this book.
Scrooge of course. His character is so full.
When he woke up on Christmas morning and started dancing around and laughing.
You bet!!! And I did.
I sure hope Tim Curry is the reader on many more books. I would certainly listen.
It is the best book I have listened to bar none!
Where do I start?
Last but not least the reader!!!
He becomes the characters.
I laughed in a lot of places particularly a† the characters reactions to others. They all seemed so judgemental of each other. Then it turns out they were all plotting together. Good misdirection. lol
I have listened to the book many times as I work around the house and go walking.
