I appreciated this book. I learned a lot about modern warfare and the SEALs in particular. Unfortunately, the production of this audiobook was lacking in several ways. When there was a need to dub over a section where an error must have been made the voice sounded out of place like it was not the narrator. There were at least 12 times that the book also reread a sentence or phrase which became annoying. I appreciate Mr. Denver writing this book, it is too bad the audiobook quality did not equal the writing.

The Dawn Treader is the first ship Narnia has seen in centuries. King Caspian has built it for his first voyage to find the seven lords, good men whom his evil uncle Miraz banished when he usurped the throne. The journey takes Edmund, Lucy, their cousin Eustace, and Caspian to the Eastern Islands, beyond the Silver Sea, toward Aslan's country at the End of the World.

C.S. Lewis creates a fantastic land that helps one understand how love is the great equalizer. Hate is the destroyer and it destroys the one who is doing the hating. Love is the "stuff" of life and the one who loves will find love indeed. This story weaves pride, lust, atonement and deliverance into a great tale for children.

Prince Caspian follows The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe with a delightful tale about the Children's return to Narnia. The story does answer what happened later and held my interest now as it did 50 years ago. The narrator made the story come alive.

The Washington Post's former Baghdad bureau chief, Rajiv Chandrasekaran, takes us into the Green Zone, headquarters for the American occupation in Iraq. In this bubble separated from wartime realities, the task of reconstructing Iraq is in the hands of 20-somethings chosen for their Republican Party loyalty. They pursue irrelevant neoconservative solutions and pie-in-the-sky policies instead of rebuilding looted buildings and restoring electricity, angering the locals and fueling the insurgency.

What a story...ill planned and carried out even worse, how can a country go to war without any idea of what the plan is once you've won...Iraq could have been a tremendous success but instead it left a nation that is growing more terrorists and making live even more risky. The book makes that very clear. Ray Porter did an excellent job bring a difficult book to life.

Six-time Emmy Award-winning funnyman Tim Conway, best known for his characters on The Carol Burnett Show, offers a straight-shooting and hilarious memoir about his life on stage and off as an actor and comedian. In television history, few entertainers have captured as many hearts and made as many people laugh as Tim Conway. There's nothing in the world that Tim Conway would rather do than entertain - and in his first-ever memoir, What's So Funny?, that's exactly what he does.

Narrator Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

I have watched several Frankenstein movies and always thought I knew the story. Boy was I ever wrong. I did not know how lyrical and poetic the story really is. Mary Shelly's book is a wonderful story. I love Dan Stevens' narration as he made the story come alive.

A brutally honest memoir of talent, addiction, and recovery from one of the greatest baseball pitchers of all time. As a shy 19-year-old, Dwight Gooden swept into New York, lifting a team of crazy characters to World Series greatness and giving a beleaguered city a reason to believe. Then he threw it all away. Now, with fresh and sober eyes, the Mets’ beloved Dr. K shares the intimate details of his life and career, revealing all the extraordinary highs and lows: The hidden traumas in his close-knit Tampa family. The thrill and pressure of being a young baseball phenom in New York.

Doc is a refreshing look at the life of one of the greatest young pitchers of all time. I remember his rookie year, the World Series year and I remember the struggles with drugs. I am thankful he took an honest look at himself and presented it in a way that may help others become honest with themselves. Having worked in Substance Abuse Treatment I appreciate how he finally realized that being open and honest made life better. After all, "If you hide nothing, you have nothing to hide."
