"Unless you are a Sci Fi junkie, er,no."
The first 3/4 of this book is an endless string of made up concepts and phrases that are often strung together without explanation. A plot, with twists starts to come together with a 1/4 of the book left. Perhaps it is because I am older reader who cut his sci fi teeth on Isaac Asimov and Robert Heinlein, but this book frankly seemed childish to me.
Unless you routinely use the phrase "open source" or prefer linux to firefox, spend you time somewhere else.
Not for non sci fi nuts or readers with grey hair.
"This is the best of the series"
After you spend the time to weave through the rest of Col Frade's life from being a Marine wildcat ace in the Pacific to his cover of being an SAA pilot, you finish off the series with this nice piece of work. It is the best of the series. It does get a little tiring hearing about the authors seemingly bit of preoccupation with Eva Peron's skankiness, but once that is over, the book is very entertaining. Well worth the listen.
"Avoid this Book"
I am a fan of William Johnstone's "Preacher" series and have spent hours listening to them while on horse back. I took a chance on this book. I lost. The book is basically a comic book with recurrent violence and intermittent torture. Along the way their is some gratuitous sexual abuse discrpition, some of which is blatant pedophilia. I am totally surprised that audible carried this book and it should be avoided.
If someone made a movie of this book they would be committing a felony.
Run away.
