"Better then expected - and I expected a lot!"
Near the top. I have enjoyed many of my audiobooks as I don't choose them lightly. This is one I will listen to again.
I enjoyed the way Scott weaved the topics. I never felt like I was getting hit over the head with emotional pain, life triumphs, eating habits, training sequences or other ideas. It just flowed in a way that felt like a conversation. It was never preachy and never felt forced.
His cadence and inflection supported the no nonsense, authentic writing. He was purposeful and measured without being drab and boring.
It made me want to be better, eat better, think better.
Just like "Born to Run" was way more than just a book about running, this is also more than just a book about what a dominate athlete eats. A person who runs extreme distances spends a lot of time alone with themselves and with their thoughts. It creates a different kind of person. These insights into the Scott's brain were amazingly inspiring and challenging. Great read.
