I FINALLY have found a series of really good books to read. I love J. Brady as the lead character. With each book, you are ready to help her solve another one or see what she is going to get into next. It is a great read each time. The auther has a great handle on story line and it is a pleasure to read the next episode.

Not one, but two dead bodies are found in the harsh New Mexico desert. The first man's face is smashed beyond recognition, and the second one appears to have been forced to dig his own grave before being murdered...execution style.

Soon, new Sheriff Robert Torrez and Undersheriff Estelle Reyes-Guzman are knee deep in the midst of a brutal murder spree that spans both sides of the border.

Not since Partner in Crime have New York Times bestselling author J. A. Jance's beloved series characters shared a stage. But now, in a pair of cases that cross state lines, Beaumont and Brady are back! Seattle investigator J. P. Beaumont is working a series of murders in which six young women have been wrapped in tarps, doused with gasoline, and set on fire. Their charred remains have been creating a grisly pattern of death across western Washington.

If you are a J A Jance fan or a Beaumonat/Brady fan...this is a must read. The auther did her fans a favor and put the two of these great ones together once again in a very unique way. The format makes you think about the plots. You will go skipping back and forth between these two police characters and you better keep your characters and parts of the country straight. It was great fun and I really liked the narrators too. I highly recommend and truly appreciate the quality of the writing that J. A. always brings to the reader's plate.

    Overall

J A is a wonderful writer and very complete in her plots and detail. I have loved all of her books, but this one was too much. There was so much detail and so many characters that it was really hard to follow. I had so much to remember before the primary plot that I was worn out by the time I was suppose to get in to the ending. This was a good story with too much detail to handle.

David Handler's charming and witty Stewart "Hoagy" Hoag novels are a hit with fans. Suffering through a terrible case of writer's block, Hoagy reluctantly accepts an offer to ghostwrite an autobiography for has-been comedian Sonny Day. The money's not great, but it'll get Hoagy out of the house, so he packs up for L.A. When he arrives, he meets a colorful group of people - one of whom doesn't want Sonny's book written.

It seemed like easy money: deliver Count Stylptich's memoirs to his London publisher and return a packet of compromising letters to the lady who penned them. But within hours of Anthony Cade's arrival in England, three strangers accost him and one ends up dead. A cryptic note leads Cade to the country estate known as Chimneys, accompanied by ravishing aristocrat Virginia Revel.

Whenever you can't make up your mind what book to select, you can count an Agatha. The narrator was very good once you got use to his english accent. The story line is great and the various characters were read beautifully. Agatha's story line great as usual. It is good to go to classics every once in awhile.

In the early 1870's, the young state of Texas was struggling to survive. Its vast, undeveloped land of over 260 thousand square miles became a haven for the lawless. Murderers, rustlers and renegade bands of hostile Indians and Comanchero roamed the vast wastelands of west Texas with only a narrow river separating them from the sanctuary of Mexico. One group of dedicated lawmen stood between this element and the law-abiding citizenry - the Texas Rangers. This is the story of one of those men.

I really liked the book. I thought it had a good story line and good detail. You can't beat a good main character and a reader that sounds like you would like the person to be. This fits.
