Although this book held my attention to the end, it was disappointing. I was really excited about this listen. On a scale of 1 – 10, I will give it a 7 because my expectation was really high, based on previous parts to this series. One thing that held my attention for sure is James Edward Shippy – I love his VOICE! Ew chhhiiii (regaining composure, sorry).
The actual structure was at some points to be desired and good in some areas. Based on the previous books and the narrator group, no recommendation or lack thereof could have prevented my ordering/listening to this selection. I will try another installment once available, to see if it picks up momentum.
I don’t have any favorite characters or scenes, except maybe when Daryl shows up. Would I recommend this one……but not as much as the previous selections. Waiting on the next installment.
You can’t do ANYTHING similar to me, I’m to0 suspicious. Nate uhn uhn uhn seems like such a great catch. Shari the over protective big sister, how on my nerves was she. Jessica is truly a victim, but devious even still.
2 thumbs up!
I really enjoyed this novel. I would say, if I was actually reading it, it would be what you call a page turner. Ugggh couldn’t stand the nosey busy old body nurse chick/blocker (lol). I read this a while ago, but I remember wanting it to work out between Jaclyn and Dr. De Winter. The book allowed for a definite part two. I’m waiting.
I will definitely refer to friends.
If you anticipated the adventure continuing the momentum, well B&S DELIVERED!!!! The development of ghost/Chasity’s character genius and believable. The move across the pond was interesting and I loved the accents. My friends & I have been walking through my work office calling each other bruvf or however you spell it. I did get lost on some of the accents.
You will so0 get lost, caught up & submerged in this book. The best part is that this book is so juicy that there’s a (((((part II)))). Chock full of ACTION, passion, suspense……the imagery is so vivid you can see this like a movie in your head.
I picked this book 1st because everything I have read by Carl Weber was a home run. Then I wanted to see if Paula Jai Parker could do her thing as a narrator – She DID!!!! As well as dreamy voice James Edward Shippy.
Favorite characters were Ray-Ray & Trigger. How they met crazy but you want them to get together no matter how twisted. You also kinda want Ray-Ray & Dame to be together and do big things. When the narrators do Big Jakes voice, its funny but believable.
Over all this was an awesome compilation between the authors and the narrators……excited about part II.
*********************10 thumbs up! **********************
Story #1 was awesome. I love the voice of the fat dude, I was laughing at the narrators skills. I was grossed out by the imagery, which I think means she did an amazing job painting the picture. I was captivated. What is the next move, did that really just happen, why did she do that, what happened to that dude. I already recommended this to my fellow reading buddy.
Ok, this book was so good, that I almost threw up in some parts they were so fantastically graphic. You will know the parts when you get there. How the author comes up with some of this stuff is beyond me, but it makes for great story telling.
Thoroughly enjoyed, no wonder the reviews are stellar.
A home-run book (series)!
Stamp it official!!!!
Ummm he did, she did what, who was that? A times it was a bit hard to follow who was who. The story is gooT! I got mad at the one part where someone was killed, that I thought was in it to the end. The sex scenes are so0 ZANE! I enjoyed the book, mad that part II is unavailable on this medium. Hey I'm not above reading, going to buy the book.
Don't miss out, a good one right here.
Slow to start, but once it got moving it was a GREAT LISTEN. The covering of the flock is some straight bullish, in this sense. I do not share. It is a shame what parents do to children regarding brainwashing. The best thing is to grow up and be open to learn outside your parental grasp. Darn Church Folk.
This very well written story helps you explore the old cliche’, Never say Never. It’s about friendships, that bud from college and families develop and the entire families become so close it is similar to one big happy family. Then life steps lines get crossed, feelings get hurt and friendships get tested.
Great story, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would refer it to fellow readers with enthusiasm.
