Wonderfully performed and the stories are soothig. The stories stay true to the Bible. It is so nice to see my children so engaged in the stories. We usually have great conversations about the stories. Bedtime is a joy because they fall asleep listening to the stories.
It's very soothing for not just children but for adults as well.
David Suchet made this book wonderful to listen to.
You won't regret this purchase.
The first part of the book was great until it became political and mind over matter stuff.
It was a totally different story once Stony left home. I had a hard time following the timeline. It was not a smooth story and it was painful to listen to until the very end.
The narrator did good.
It's Dean Koontz and I love the characters. The characters are usually believable.
Not much at all actually. The book was great but personally the ending was disappointing. The characters were great, and the villains easy to dislike. The ending was far beyond what I could deal with on a spiritual level.
As usual Mr. Koontz develops the mysterious main characters to a point where your heart relates to them personally. The story pulls you in immediately at a whiplash speed.
NOT A THING!!!!Awesome performance!
Loving Dean Koontz as Much as I do, it's hard for me to say I was disappointed in the conclusion. Maybe the ending was too fast. I just found myself saying, "That's it?"
Absolutely, because I want to remember this book forever!
I don't know about a book, but Dances With Wolves after the main character went back to white society to advocate for a Nation. Maybe Avatar the movie also is somewhat similar.
Jack Holloway is definitely my favorite . He starts off being selfish and a jerk, and it's hard to think what he's up to. It's obvious he's got a plan and as the book unfolds its hard not to love the terd. Lol!
Ill say equal moments when an innocent person is mourned by two people at different times in the story. It moved me deeply.
I can see why this book won awards and would be an awesome movie. It's a story that all society can learn from.
Suspense, and the ideas of Super People being bad instead of " Superman"! Great idea!
I so excited for the rest!
The ideas in this story are fascinating and curiosity kept me reading until I was hooked. It's like there's a lot of missing pieces at first, but as I kept listening I could see the puzzle coming together. I thought about this book days after I was finished reading. Days afterwards, I was still having "uh huh" moments.
The way the author told the main characters stories separately made it very personal. It was easy to like the main people, and cheer for a good outcome.
Great! Great! Great!
Yes, when the two main characters began to realize they were lost without the other, and yet hadn't seen each other since childhood. They were so close and so far from finding each other , it hurt.
It was a fascinating book. I'm glad I stuck with it.
The main characters, including the dog are so lovable. As the plot thickens and twists about, the characters grow and come into their own. The story is so detailed it becomes believable. Could this happen? Is it happening...somewhere?
It's like Frankenstein meets Benji-ish, with a Koontz twist.
He is always great, and this was another dead-on performance!
The dog because he's still man's best friend, and yet he has a human awarenes, intelligence, and yet.... Better.
This was so enjoyable, with adventure, love, friendship, and thought provoking. Koontz dares to write these awesome plots that challenge us to not be quite so naive, or even to challenge our apathy.
This amazing adventure starts off fast and keeps on going at a wonderful pace.
The story line is science fiction to the core! It's a believable theory to alien abductions.
Kyle Riggs of coarse, who is professor turned commando, is pretty awesome. Crow, self appointed leader of a new fleet of spaceships, adds humour, and a touch of the renegade side of humanity.
Absolutely! I tried, but couldn't make it.
Mark Boyett performs brilliantly. The accents and characters changes are smooth and easy to listen to. Thank you for sharing your talent.
I've listened to some incredible books lately, but while this story was good and fast paced,I would say it was a little above average for me.
It compared with Hunger Games because of the futuristic setting, but the main characters aren't as easy to like.
She's wonderful, no matter what she does.
I thought it was sad to think families could be split so easily.
I was interested enough to buy the second book and am enjoying it as well.
