This audiobook works great as a family foreign language project. We listen to it for a half hour a day.
It is realistic and simple and goes back to lesson 1.
He sounds like he is German and is pretty clear.
No. We just did it a little at a time.
It goes into detail about the Isle of Jersey, sacred shrines, and Victor Hugo's life.
When Jac is in the cave and picks up the amber stone.
He really brought the book to life. What a wonderful voice!
Wresting with a Dark Force
I listened to this a chapter or so at a time while I was weeding my garden. It is a good one to listen to while connecting with nature.
Yes, our whole family uses it now. It relaxes a person and puts them to sleep.
My daughter has such a difficult time going to sleep. It will usually take her hours to get relaxed enough, even with a bedtime routine. Last night this put her to sleep within minutes. I am hoping that will continue! It works for me.
I like the idea of the music to change ideas on the cellular level rather than drugs.
His voice is so soothing. You trust him right away and will drift off beffore you know it. At least all three of us do.
I plan on using it again and think that it brings on a much more relaxing/deeper sleep.
Of course we love it.
The other Pimsleur lessons. They are worth the money and time!
The one where you ask about the street or "la rue".
I was impressed when my eight-year-old daughter started answering the narrator in French.
These are a good way for our family to spend time together and relax. Thank you for making these books.
It expands more into the French language without becoming overwhelming.
German Phase 1...it sounds a lot alike. Very helpful for an introduction into a foreign language.
I use these lessons to introduce my daughter to foreign language. She has been spattering quite a bit of French lately.
Yes, and again and again:)
He just has a very sexy accent and voice. He relaxes me so much I don't remember much. I just listen and go to sleep.
I think I start listening because his voice sounds so good, but then just enjoy the ride.
Yes, the first part. After that I don't remember.
I woke up in the middle of the night (about 2 AM) and was wide awake. Usually that means I will be up for hours and will wake up with a migraine in the morning. Instead of turning on the light and reading, I remembered Mr. Harrold's Guide to Sleeping and was asleep before I even knew it. For less than $4 you cannot beat the price either.
It introduces some new words and brings up previously learned phrases.
I could not find anything that compares to your audio Pimsleur lessons, that is why we buy these even though sometimes we have to purchase the lessons seperately.
Yes, it is a half hour and I listen and practice with my family. We take a lesson and work on it for about a week.
I use the Pimsleur audio foreign language lessons to introduce my daughter to other languages. It is delightful when I hear her speak a phrase or two in every day language.
I really like these Pimsleur lessons. Having never taken French before, it is interesting to try this and I am glad they take the words apart or I would miss some of the sounds.
Monsieur I believe. He sounds a bit stuffy?
We have only been doing the first part.
Yes. We did Unit 1 and it was just right for a cup of tea and new language.
I find these relaxing.
It was about a subject I don't normally read much about.
He read it just right, raising his voice at the times that he should, etc.
It was very interesting and lovely to learn about how a monk wrote down the first music.
It added nicely to the previous lessons.
I like the woman Frau, because she is outgoing.
We had a good time saying dot druben and my daughter liked that Herr sounds like hair.
At first listen, it sounds like a difficult language, but the narrator breaks up the words until they are possible for anyone to say.
He was understandable.
Speak like a song.
