Dance is growing on me, even with my long ove affair with Lincoln, and I'm enjoying the different ways of looking at crime solving (as opposed to the strict evidence gathering in NY)

Quirky at times, a bit of humor and unusual twists. If it hadn't been for the time left in the recording, I would have thought it was over an hour before it actually ended.

I'm enjoying Marin Ireland as the official voice of this series. I hope that she stays in the group.

I love The Retrieval Artist books! I have been hooked on them for years now. I was thrilled when this one was released, and I eagerly put it at the top of my list to listen to immeditately.

Lots of story lines being drawn closer together, seems like we will get an ending to some tags that have been floating along since the 3rd book in this set!

Fast paced, this book is continuing to develop deeper characters in Flint and our new head of Moon Security office. I keep wondering if the blowback is going to trace back to the first bombing of Armstrong, and the refusal of Earth Alliance entrance to that particular planet. But we readers and still in the dark on that one!

Lots of new threadlines that could be good plots for future books! I'll cross my fingers in hopes this series has not even reached the 1/2 point in total books!

I was pleasantly surprised at the easy flow of this story. I haven't found PB's books to be easy to follow in audio before, having to rewind and re-listen to parts before actually grasp them. But this was one of the books in my wish list, and it was on sale, so I took a gamble.

And, I enjoyed it!

Fast moving plot and action, it felt as though the story was rushing head-long into the jungle (of Louisiana, maybe?) and then.....run smack into a barrier. The story stopped. Literally. So....I'm feeling a little bit unfinished, without closure.

Still, it was enjoyable and I will probably download the 2nd in this series, even though I see that it isn't quite a continuing story.

I think that I've read or listened to most of Slaughter's books, and this one has to be one of the most bone-chilling.

I had thought she was softening in her writing, as I hadn't read anything this disturbing since KissCut. (one of the original series that this series spun off from)

I am enjoying the progression of Will's story, and hints that Sara's future in the books is assured.

I have to admit, after being thrown Amanda in her iron/steel character, it was really hard to reconcile hearing her as a young, uncertain rookie.

I had dropped this series for a while, and now I'm glad that I picked it back up again. I will be keeping an eye out for the next one.

A whiny, self absorbed guy that gets caught with his pants down. Lots of excuses, and a life that doesn't live up to what he expects it should be. The narrator was good, just not a very good plot.

Hard to believe, but the ending is even worse than the character feeling sorry for himself.

Don't waste the time you could be listening to something so much better....

I was pleasantly surprised at the easy listen that this turned out to be. Told in easy to follow language, several personal stories are told of the followers.

It wasn't written to shock the reader, and it explained how some people were just slowly sucked into the world of Jim Jones, until they were in so deep, it was impossible to retreat.

I was enchanted by the first in this series, and this book was even better than the first!

I loved the new characteristics associated with the vampires, demon and witches that A Discovery of Witches assigned. A new angle to characters that are quickly becoming overused in todays literary culture.

I took the time to re-listen to the first book before I ventured into this book, and I'm glad that I did. There were a lot of details and nuances that had slipped my mind. With the first book fresh, I appreciated the 2nd more. It flowed nicely and completely from the first to the second.

I already have a note on my Christmas lists to make a gift of these books to family that will enjoy it!

I was really wanting to enjoy this book. I was hoping that I would be kept on the edge of my earbuds, craving the next word.

Alas, I was not. While it wasn't a cookie cutter plot, it wasn't unpredictable and I found myself browsing my wish list for my next listen not long into the book.

I figure that says it well enough.

I have to agree with most of the reviews that have posted: this seems like an introduction to a new world of wolves. But, having entered into this with that in mind, I actually didn't mind. I am hoping that there is a lot of growth in characters and some of the hinted at artifacts from the past become woven into the next books.

I'll give the 2nd book a go when it becomes available before I discard the series.
