Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book was very entertaining, as much as I have always liked Penny Marshall, I like her even more after reading this book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of My Mother Was Nuts?

The story of her relationship with "Artie" Garfunkel an the stories of how her first movies, Jumping Jack Flash and Big came about were fascinating.

    Any additional comments?

Just an overall good book. If you like entertainment biographies, you will love this book.

While Bernie continues his struggle to pay the bills, Chet - with his sharp nose and even sharper teeth - keeps bringing down the perps. Told from Chet's perspective and featuring the humorous ramblings of a dog, Thereby Hangs a Tail is another winner.

This was my third Spencer Quinn book. I thoroughly enjoyed this as much as "Dog On It" this story had some very interesting and unexpected plot twists that had me nervous and anxiously awaiting each approaching chapter. I love how Chet tells the story and all of his amusing "asides". I can't wait to pick out my next Chet and Bernie story and get started listening to it.

In American on Purpose, Craig Ferguson delivers a moving and achingly funny memoir of living the American dream as he journeys from the mean streets of Glasgow, Scotland, to the comedic promised land of Hollywood. Along the way he stumbles through several attempts to make his mark - as a punk rock musician, a construction worker, a bouncer, and, tragically, a modern dancer.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Got 40 hours to kill? You’ll find the time when you start listening to Lee’s take on Follett’s epic – and widely celebrated – novel of 12th-century England. The Pillars of the Earth tells the story of Philip, prior of Kingsbridge, a devout and resourceful monk driven to build the greatest Gothic cathedral the world has known...of Tom, the mason who becomes his architect - a man divided in his soul...and of the beautiful, elusive Lady Aliena, haunted by a secret shame....

If you could sum up The Pillars of the Earth in three words, what would they be?

It was a very captivating story. My primary reading interest is biographical and historic material, so Pillars made a great introduction for me into the world of fiction. I enjoyed the fact that while the people and places were fictional, they were based on real places and events and plausible lifestyles of the time.

What about John Lee’s performance did you like?

He had a broad range, although some voices took on similar characteristics his portrayal of the characters were very distinct and consistent.
