This was a great book! I didn't want it to end! The performance was great, the story was colorful and creative and evoked a lot of thought and emotion. Heavy subject handled beautifully.
Although I liked the first two Rondo books, I was disappointed with this one. It just went on and on and on without seeming to go anywhere, and I finally turned it off without finishing it.
The reader and sound editing was, frankly, awful. She read too slowly in places, some of her characterizations were downright annoying, and mouth-noises and pauses were not edited out.
Perhaps a different performer could have made a difference, but three quarters of the way through, I found myself not caring HOW it ended as long as it ended.
The story was good, the performance was very good, but the author just seemed to pick a place and stop. Clearly it's a series, but I felt that it came to a screeching halt at an awkward place that left me with more questions than resolutions.
