Somehow they got a completely different narrator and this book still came out sound exactly LIKE the Percy Jackson series.

I love Weather

I've only heard him as the narrator of this series and so far, I can't imagine another narrator.

I found myself getting emotional when Weather described her parents and when the yellow haired girl ... (don't want to spoil it!)

Great. Can't wait for the next one.

Rich with Detail and meets all expectations

I love Diana's encounter with Queen Elizabeth

Wonderful accents. She does a fabulous job portraying the partially deaf Henry Percy

Gallowglass. When I met him, I was ready not to like him, but he became a cog in the wheel.

Ms. Harkness has made 1590's Europe and time travel feel perfectly reasonable and realistic. The research she must have done to provide the level of detail is enviable and I kept dreading that the end of each chapter was the end to the book. Diana and Matthew's relationship and personalities become deeper and they really flesh out as characters. Love this book. Better than the first one.

John Glover came into a bad situation. He took over reading a series that has been given life by James Marsters. James Marsters has become Harry Dresden. However, Mr. Glover did a really good job and I just kept reminding myself,

The narrator

Hannibal. He's such a messed up dude.

Frank Muller made Hannibal a detailed, flesh and blood creature. As good as or better than Anthony Hopkins.

Yep, it's perfect for anyone.

When Chet finds the gold nugget. I really wish he could speak.

He BECOMES Chet.

When the kid finds out that his Dad had died.

A dog that thinks and helps solve crimes. Hell yes! Chet rules

Yep! Although the print version made a big impression on me when I read it 24 years ago.

The development of the characters at two different points in time.

Only as an actor-and he's a GREAT actor

Richie Tozier. I think he would keep me laughing.

Steven Weber brought these characters and all of the peripheral characters to life. He doesn't just read the book, he acts it. The characters breathe.

I loved Jake Epperly. He was a deep and complicated character.

I had forgotten how patiently and masterfully Stephen King builds characters. You don't just get rushed into a story-Slam! Bam! Thank You Sucker. It's a true character building. There is patience and detail in this book. It builds and builds and you have no idea how it's going to turn out and whether Jake will go through with his mission. Ultimately, you end up not caring whether or not Jake saves JFK. You just want him to be happy, have love, and you want it all to work. PLUS-I love the fact that Stephen King brought back Derry in the Summer of '58, just shortly after the Losers' showdown with IT. As soon as this book was over, I downloaded IT so I could see those landmarks and meet those characters again. The nostalgia just made the book all that much better.
