"Wonderful memoir"
Waging Heavy Peace was very well read, it felt like I was hanging out with Neil and he was telling me stories about himself. It seemed like I got to know him a little, and really got a feel for his amazing life. He has a lot of heart, and has really lived his life with integrity. By the time it was over, I had a bit of a hero!
"Hope you aren't offended"
I see some who say this book was good for the first 1/3, but they didn't like the rest. I suspect that that the author offended their religious sensibilities, and they found the book difficult as a result. I felt it was quite good all the way through. He does a good job of setup and payoff, and I couldn't stop listening. In addition, the author has definitely has done his homework (I checked his references). Almost everyone I know is reading this book, and if they aren't, I am encouraging them to do so!
