Dr. D always has something new in every new book. This however is really a seminar based on the book and not a reading of his book "The Power of Intention". But his seminars are great, and funny. He makes you laugh, think and have hope. Although he does bring up some stories that he previously used in other seminars, the information here is fresh, and the stories are one you could listen to over and over. If you read or listened to his manifesting series, this compliments and adds to it perfectly. I listened to the entire 6 hours straight.
This should have been called "Why I Hate the FDA and the FTC." Althought the books gives a lot of alleged information on the mafia like tatics of the FDA and FTC, it fails to deliver on the title. Natural cures provides no natural cures. Kevin claims that the FDA and the FTC would not allow him to put it in the book. So why publish it under that title? He then goes on to say if you want to know the products that are the natural cures, then go to his web site and become a member and he would reveal all! To become a member on the site, you have to pay $9.99 a month or a lifetime fee of $999.00. However, after you pay for the book, which has no cure information, and then pay $9.99 for the membership, he still has no information because he says the FDA and the FTC has forbidden him to do so. Although this could be true, why not show the actual letter on the site that states this. Now it starts to sound like a big scam. Lots of talk and no proof. I was very disappointed, and was quite ready to defend the "Snake Oil" accusation of another reviewer, but now I'm not so sure. Yes I believe and know there are natural cures out there, but this book fails to provide them. A waste of a good Audible credit.
This book was a bit too wordy for me. I do love period pieces, and Proust does describe a situation in full detail. But his descriptions are sometimes so long that one forgets what he was talking about in the first place. The narrator does do a wonderful job of the different voices, bring the book to life making it feel almost like a play rather than an audio book.
This book was funny. If you want some VERY light listening about nothing that will make you laugh, this is for you. If you are looking for insights into the working of the world and politics and religion, look else where. Ellen is her typical rambling self in this book, which is narrated by herself. She does however provide some real "Hmmmm..." moments. But she just talks a lot of funny nothing. Very amising book for the train after a hard day at work.
I bought this book in error. Stupid me. So I listened to it since I paid for it. This book is so predictable. The information provided was all plain common sense items. Nothing new. And the narrator - it sounded like I was listening to a 50's instruction tape. Save your money or your credits. If you really want some worth while information, buy a Wayne Dyer or Deepak Choopra and try a more spiritual approach rather than trying to manipulate people.
