I love this series and I am very pleased that Audible has picked it up. Alyssa gives us a totally different view of the supernatural world with her Warriors of Poseidon. I really loved her take on the Atlantis mythology and how she adds vamps and weres into the mix. The love story can be a little corny at times, but that, to me, is just a part of the "formal speak" of Conlan's people so it fits. The only thing I was not thrilled with was the narrator. Joshua Swanson has a great tone of voice but I think he kinda of over does it when reading this type of story. His style, to me, would be more for a children's story where the more drama the better. At times through out the story it gets a bit too much. I see that he is slated to do the rest of the series and I can only hope he tones it down a bit, and changes the pronunciation of the word em-path. He sounds like he is saying "M-pith" stressing the M and pith instead of PATH. I know it is silly to mention one single word, but it is just a pet peeve of mine. So, my rating for the book itself is a 5 star but the narration is only 3 star (if that). I will round it out to a 4 star total. (I wish there was a way to give separate ratings and then a final rating). I will probably buy the next book to see if Joshua is any better. If not.............maybe if they go on a $4.99 sale.
I also need to mention........for those who are not into explicit sex and language, this series may not be for you.
Alpha&Omega spinoff from Mercy Thompson series. LOVE BOTH! Both in my top 10 favorite rotation!
Loving how series moved to future generation. Awesome new bad guy twist. Series still great!
Feehan and Stechschulte make an awesome team for military/paranormal/romance series. GhostWalkers are this fans favorite!
I wish Gabra Zackman had continued narraton for Opal Cowen trilogy. Love character voice continuity.
Fantasy worlds just don't get any better for me. And Gabra Zackman's narration, simply amazing!
I love this series, and have listened/read it at lrast 15 times. Check it out!
Yes. Great story.
After having read the Fixed series from Alayna's POV, it gave a new perspective reading from Hudsons.
All the gifts. You'll have to listen or read the book to know what I mean. I don't give spoilers.
There are two sides to every story.
I really enjoyed Hudson POV. I wish more authors would do this.
YES! I love Cherise Sinclair's books. This is not just an erotica/bdsm book. It has a story to it, and though the first book (in most series), is dedicated to set up and backstory for the series, this one, for me, showed more story than most book 1's. I always have the 2 book rule. If I don't like a series after book 2, I ask for a refund.
When Jessica walk into the club itself thinking it is a private gym (club), and gets a rude awakening. LOL Classic!
Cullen, the bartender. Love the accent.
Towards the end...tears. I don't give spoilers.
I hope the rest of the series is coming out SOON!
Absolutely! I am listening for the 2nd time right now. Faith Hunter's are my go to books when I need to feel something familiar.
I won't do spoilers here. Suffice it to say that there are MANY!
Again no spoilers, but I will say, I loved the action scene where the line "Who was that masked man?) was used. It wasn't my favorite but know Broken Soul was loaded with them. (Again, I don't do spoilers).
Laughter and tears both, and I always have extreme reaction to Khristine Hvam's awesome narration. No one else could do this series other than Khristine because she is Jane Yellowrock and the entire cast of characters.
I will ALWAYS read Faith and listen to Khristine. They make an awesome team. One other thing...while listening and reading along I did find almost 2 pages missing of narration when they went to level 4 for the first time. I just thought I would let y'all at Audible know.
Yes, to those who enjoy erotica. Why? I think this book has a good fictional story line as well as it being informative.
Many might say the Fifty Shades Trilogy because of the BDSM. Personally, I think it stands alone, other than the other Brie book that takes place right after graduation, a book I hope to hear on Audible very soon.
Actually with Brie and Tono and the art of Kinbaku.
Not your normal training school.
I think Pippa Jayne did an excellent job with the narration. I hope the next book is on audio soon.
