I really enjoyed listening to the lastest installment. It was darker than the rest. Jane is shown that her time is ending -- everyone is getting very close to her ---

It was worthy addition to Thomas Perry. I understand some of the reviews but Janes job is risky and in this one she is caught and suffers --

read it -- worth a credit

When Hetty Longden, freshly dumped and brokenhearted, agrees to look after her greatuncle’s dilapidated mansion in the English countryside, she’s at something of a lifetime low. With no job, no lover, no prospects, and no particular talent for resuscitating crumbling estates, she hopes for nothing more than some good oldfashioned escape.

Katie Fforde has a way of describing the characters with just enough bad qualities that they seem real to the reader. I like books when the sweet female lead takes charge--

I would recomend this book and plan to listen to others by Fforde

For the parents whose children have been taken, for the broken lives we piece back together one relentless investigation at a time, our town house is a sanctuary. My name is Alice Crane. I'm just one of a talented team working for Naomi Nantz, the brilliant and very private detective.

I have listened to all of Chris Jordan books and this one was very good. I really liked the first person account by Alice -- she is on the outside of the main action. She tells the story in a great way -- and get sucked into the action!. All the characters are introduced by her. I dont think I am explaining it very well but if you like action stories this one is very good with the twist of Alice telling the story

    worth a credit for sure

It was one of Eve Dallas’s earliest takedowns, back in her uniform days. A monster named Isaac McQueen had been abducting young victims and leaving them scarred in both mind and body. Thanks to Eve, he wound up where he belonged, removed from civilized society in Rikers. But he’s not behind bars anymore. After his escape, McQueen has two things in mind. One is to take up where he left off, preying on the young and innocent - when necessary, with the help of a female partner all too willing to be manipulated and to aid and abet his crimes.

this was another book about the life of Eve Dallas, -- most of the book is set in Dallas. One of her first arrests a very evil guy called the collector escapes from prison and it after Eve.

It is a little different since is set in Dallas. A lot of regulars are not in the book just on the "link" -- I could have used a little more of those guys. She seemed to be on her own with her support group far away

this was a good one in the a long line of good ones.

But a cannibalistic serial killer? That’s more than even she bargained for. What’s worse, the brutal demon can only be tracked one way. If Joanne is to stop its campaign of terror, she’ll have to hunt it where it lives: the Lower World, a shamanistic plane of magic and spirits.
