Would you consider the audio edition of Dark Desires After Dusk to be better than the print version?

I don't know, I haven't read the print version, but I would think so. Robert Petkoff is hands down the best narrator of all the series I listen to...and I listen to a lot of them!

What other book might you compare Dark Desires After Dusk to and why?

Lothaire from the series - this book is humorous, thrilling, sexy...it is my favorite of this series so far and I have loved each one.

Which character – as performed by Robert Petkoff – was your favorite?

Holly - she is quirky and innocent, but smart and sticks to her guns. I love the strong female character and she challenges the men in the book.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Demon Lust and Love

    Any additional comments?

I LOVED this book. Please hurry up and book the rest of Kresley's books on audio!

When Nina Linden is hired to landscape a private island off the New England coast, she sees it as her chance to rebuild her failing business after being cheated by her unscrupulous ex. She never expects that her new client, software mogul Deacon Whitney, would see more in her than just a talented gardener. Deacon has paid top dollar to the crews he’s hired to renovate the desolate Whitney estate - he had to, because the bumps, thumps, and unexplained sightings of ghostly figures in 19th-century dress are driving workers away faster than he can say “Boo.”

Would you consider the audio edition of Better Homes and Hauntings to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the print version - but I did love the audio version

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, she has narrated other Molly Harper books and I have always enjoyed them.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The solving of the murder - I won't spoil it - but it was very poignant.

    Any additional comments?

If you want a fun easy listen that will have you laughing unexpectedly, listen/read any of Molly Harper's books.

If you could sum up Murder in the Dark in three words, what would they be?

    Fun, sexy, intriguing

Who was your favorite character and why?

Phryne - who wouldn't want to be her?

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

NOT try to sing!!!! Whenever the book referenced songs of the time, the narrator felt the need to sing them. She is great as a narrator, but she is NOT a singer. Her attempt to perform Jazz with a New Orleans drawl was especially painful to listen to. If I could fast forward through those spots I would have.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Definitely!

Where does The Professional: Part 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    One of my FAVORITES!

What did you like best about this story?

The steamy hot characters and how humor was throughout story. I love Kresley's writing style with sarcasm infused throughout!

What about Kimberly Alexis’s performance did you like?

She did a great male Russian and didn't over do the dramatics in the "naughty" scenes.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! I literally would not answer the phone or turn on the tv just so I could listen! I usually only listen during my long drives for work. But I could not put this down and got through all 3 in 2 days.

    Any additional comments?

HOT AND STEAMY!!! I can't wait for more stories including these characters. I have read all of Kresley's sci-fi books from the Immortals series, and this one is right up there as one of my favorites! I don't even care I had to buy 3 little books. WELL WORTH IT!!

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Someone brand new to this genre who has never heard/read anything else and does not know to expect better

Would you ever listen to anything by Coreene Callahan again?

Probably not. But I am going to finish this series as I am traveling and need something to pass the time.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Benjamin L. Darcie?

Someone who could have added more variety to the characters. Everyone sounds like a character from Revenge of the Nerds. Not sexy hot dragon men

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Boredom

What would have made Fury of Ice better?

A story line that didn't bounce around so much you get whiplash. This book was a slight improvement over Book 1 in the series. But there is way too much description of inconsequential things and not enough description of the stuff that matter. To take up almost 5 min describing a chair than glance over in less than a minute of a moment that is suppose to be when the main characters fall in love....um hello. I could have done without knowing a detailed description of a chair.

Has Fury of Ice turned you off from other books in this genre?

It doesn't. Just turns me off from this author.

How could the performance have been better?

The voices needed more variety. His voice for the two main character dragons sound like characters from Revenge of the Nerds. These are Dragon men. They should have deep sultry voice. Not squeeky nerdy voices. And everyone sounds the same. Not enough variety.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Sleepiness. I want to get through it, I don't like to leave books unfinished, but it's hard. So boring.

    Any additional comments?

Focusing on one character plot and delving deeper into the emotional connection and love aspect of the relationship would be way better.

Magnus is a man of contradictions - a spiritual leader in a warrior's body. To him, laws are for enforcing and visions must be followed - even if that means freeing a beautiful slave and making her his reluctant handmaiden. Betrayed once before, Magnus can barely bring himself to trust another woman. Yet Daenaira's fiery innocence is drawing them both into a reckless inferno of desire. Daenaira grew up hearing tales of a fearsome priest who seemed more myth than reality. But Magnus is very real - every inch of him - and so is the treachery surrounding them.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The book was great - right up until the end. I know this is supposed to be book 1 of a new series, but really.... I have NEVER read a book that ended so awkwardly. My recommendation would be, wait until book 2 comes out, and then read them back to back. Otherwise, you are going to be mad at having to wait to discover how story lines wrap up.

Which character – as performed by Tavia Gilbert – was your favorite?

    Leila was a great character.

    Any additional comments?

The only downside to the performance is that the main character - Vlad's - voice is less than sexy to say the least. All the other character voices are great.
