Alexia Tarabotti, Lady Maccon, has settled into domestic bliss. Of course, being Alexia, such bliss involves integrating werewolves into London High society, living in a vampire's second best closet, and coping with a precocious toddler who is prone to turning supernatural willy-nilly. Even Ivy Tunstell's acting troupe's latest play, disastrous to say the least, cannot put a damper on Alexia's enjoyment of her new London lifestyle.

    Lovely voices, lovely tone.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Remarkable- move over Mary Poppins!

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A different narrator for sure... perhaps a story line of some kind and some kind of value.

Has Fifty Shades of Grey turned you off from other books in this genre?

Oh no, love the seamy, bodice ripping lusty books for sure! But this was just an uncomfortable and disturbingly disagreeable work, both from the author and narrator. I don't think the author ever had any real life experience in this area and the narrator sounds like she is in grade school...

How could the performance have been better?

A more mature voice, more thoughtful, quietly persented. Not the pitchy girlie sweet thing that this is.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Fifty Shades of Grey?

    All of them.

    Any additional comments?

    yuk yuk yuk.
