"Awesome"
These stories are more like King's olders stories, which I definitely prefer. First narrator isn't that great, but the others are wonderful...especially Mare reading The Gingerbread Girl. Oh, beware, I downloaded The Gingerbread Girl and Stationary Bike way before this new book came out...so if you've already heard those and don't want to listen again, you'll have to fast forward-not an easy feat on an ipod! But Gingerbread Girl was sooo worth listening to for a second time!
"Absolutely Drove me CRAZY!"
Don't get me wrong, I am a big Edgar Allan Poe fan. But this narrator drove me crazy! He was just too dramatic for me. Way, way over the top. I'd downloaded a couple of other short stories and listened to those before I started this one. But I had to stop listening to this after about an hour into it. Maybe I'll be able to listen again in short spurts, but, for me, the over-dramatic reads really took away from Poe's work. It's dramatic on it's own.
"Awesome Narration...Great Story"
This is the first time I have ever looked up a narrator to see what else he/she has read. Absolutely wonderful narration. Excellent story as well! 3/4 of the way through it seemed to lag and drag on, but it came back with a great sort of surprise ending! I would definitely recommend!
"Awesome Narrator"
This is a pretty good, classic Stephen King story. The narrator makes it really awesome!
"Overall good investment"
The narrator was very good. Narrator did the best on The Man Who Loved Flowers and Jerusalem's Lot. Stories are classic Stephen King. If you're a King fan you won't be dissappointed!
"Good Narrator, Pretty good story"
I really liked the narrator for this story. He changed his voice very well and appropriately. The story was pretty good too. But just a word of warning, there was an absolutely terrible child rape scene in this story. If you were reading the book, you could just skip over it and go on, but here it's ridiculously graphic. This is the first time I'd ever really been disappointed with Stephen King. It is relevent to the story, but it did not have to be so long and graphic. I listen to it on my ipod and it's sort of hard to fast forward past it...So, just a word of warning.
