So, pretending to be her own companion, she decides to seek out information about her intended by meeting with his secretary, a man who soon beguiles her. But Lady Cordelia doesn't know the truth: the man she can't resist is really her intended, Daniel Sinclair.

I wish there was a way to get a refund. This book was awful. Nonsensensical, blah, blah... What it made it worst a side from the story is the narrator. Awful, the main character is supposed to be this strapping, American, she (the narrator) made NO ATTEMPT to even try to sound a like a man.

    Awful, skip!!!!

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Some people were (will be) outraged by the ending of the book; but frankly I cannot it having any other ending. Great work... story completely believeable (speaking a super-duper only child). Excellent work... keeps you guessing the entire time..
    Thx!

What do you say about a book that moves you to tears and to the heights of joy at the same time. I have fallen completely and utterly in love with this series. MOBY is by far the best (even better than Outlander) of the series. My review of the previous book was harsh because I have high expectations of this series; and MOBY absolutely makes up for my previous disappointment. MOBY has had such a visceral impact on me that I find myself dreaming of the book and its characters nearly a week after my first read. I was moved to tears multiple times while reading this story and also loved the comic relief of Mrs. Figgs’ character. I finished the book for the first time last week and have been compelled to go back and listen to the book again. It’s just a GREAT book!

Jamie Fraser knows from his time-traveling wife Claire that, no matter how unlikely it seems, America will win the Revolutionary War. But that truth offers little solace, since Jamie realizes he might find himself pointing a weapon directly at his own son - a young officer in the British army. And Jamie isn't the only one with a tormented soul - for Claire may know who wins the conflict, but she certainly doesn't know whether or not her beloved Jamie survives.

This book is epically boring, especially after A Breath of Snow and Ashes. The best thing I can say about this book; no one was raped in this book. I find myself skipping sections of the book that draaaagggg on and on. Poor choice to combine 3 story lines; write a separate book or Novella. Anything would be better than what was done here...

A blue-eyed innocent on the outside and a shark on the inside, dressmaker Sophy Noirot could sell sand to Bedouins. Selling Maison Noirot's beautiful designs to aristocratic ladies is a little harder, especially since a recent family scandal has made an enemy of one of society's fashion leaders. Turning scandal to the shop's advantage requires every iota of Sophy's skills, leaving her little patience for a big, reckless rake like the Earl of Longmore.

I was slightly disappointed in this book. It was still a good book; in fairness. I would have included the sisters more in the story and Lucy who charmed us all in the first book, was relegated to a few references in this book. What I loved about the first book and missed in the second book was the relationship between the sisters. Good but not great.

Brilliant and ambitious dressmaker Marcelline Noirotis London's rising star. And who better to benefit from her talent than the worst-dressed lady in the ton, the Duke of Clevedon's intended bride? Winning the future duchess' patronage means prestige and fortune for Marcelline and her sisters. To get to the lady, though, Marcelline must win over Clevedon, whose standards are as high as his morals are...not. The prize seems well worth the risk-but this time Marcelline's met her match.

If you could sum up Silk Is for Seduction in three words, what would they be?

    Worth the Credit!

What other book might you compare Silk Is for Seduction to and why?

I do not know that I could compare this book. But Ms. Chase is right up there (in my humble opinion) with Lisa Kleypas and Mary Balough. Stellar work. I've only had the pleasure of enjoying two of Ms. Chase's books, but I would buy more if they were available on Audible.

Which character – as performed by Kate Reading – was your favorite?

Well, Lucy "Errol" was my favorite character and that's saying a lot because Ms Reading was brilliant as the Duke. Lucy was such a charming character "maniuplative little minx" as her mother refers to hear lovingly.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and I am listening to it again, for the 3 time since my purchase last week.

    Any additional comments?

I LOVE this story, it's believable, entertaining and well written. Let me just say, I would happily purchase the remaining books in the series when they become available. (I'm praying to Audible Gods). Ms. Chase is a fantastic writer, she makes your fall in love with her charachters. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

Please make the rest of Ms. Chase's books available for me to enjoy. I do not have time to read for plesaure as I am a gradute student. But Audio books make it possible for me to read (listen) while driving and working out.

Nice job on character development. I love that the called each other pet names like " you little Nit-Wit" and "Clod-pole". I wish there was more.... Excellent work
