"This was SO. Disappointing"
Not an audible book. This is one of my favourite authors. Over the years I've read every one of his books & buy new ones without even reading the back. However the reading & interpretation of the book totally spoiled the way I thought of jack Reacher. He even spoke differently. I was really disappointed & didn't listen for more than about an hour. In fact I would like to exchange it.
No I lost interest
He is what really spoiled the book for me I didn't like his interpretation at all.
I actually felt really sad, angry & disappointed because I know what a great storyteller Lee Child is & how good this book really is. I hate to think of others missing out on the experience of reading lee's books because they don't enjoy this.
"Stunning all round"
It's definitely one of the best audible books I've listened to. I listen in my lunch hour and had to turn it off with 50 minutes to go - but I JUST COULDN'T DO IT. So I listened to it holding my hand over my ear even tho I'm on a switchboard. I just had to turn my iPad off every time a call came in. It was truly great with some real twists & turns - especially at the end.. I loved it. Also Tanya Eby is such a good narrator - I'm definitely going to look out for her
40 minutes from the end -to say more would give it away - great ending, totally out of nowhere
"The narrator sounds like a moron"
A narrator that didn't sound moronic. I love John lescoart & I've read & then listened to nearly all his books but this set my teeth on edge. The narrator maybe. Thinks its amusing but it's moronic - I just couldn't stand it. I persevered for 2 hours but that was it. Sorry
"This wasn't a book I enjoyed"
Absolutely I have read many Stephen King books & listened to some to one he read 'Bag of Bones' & loved it, I listen to lots of books I have read & enjoyed over the years but I occasionally come across 1 I just can't get into. This was one of those
Ive already had lots since this & I'd love to listen to "The Stand" but for some reason I can't get it in Australia
Mainly disappointment. This should have been a book I enjoyed
"I was disappointed with this book"
A storey that didn't take so long to develop as this did & I lost interest
I found it borinng
I don't know - I didnt read past the 1st 2 chapters
"My favourite law & order books"
The way the stories built to a great end. I love these books
This one of my favourite authors he has researched his books in all ways & relates each story in a way that produces an on-the-edge-of-the-seat excitement every time. I've almost listened to each of his stories again. I have to say I've listened to a good many books I had previously read & I find this narrator &author complement each other perfectly.
He did nothing wrong. This one of the great narrators - he is perfect for Harry Bosch. I've read all these books over the years & have therefore imagined & pictured them a certain way. Len brings the book to life in a way that complements both the authors story & my imagination.
"Fabulous reading"
It was exciting & mesmerising i couldn't turn it off
All of it. I've read all Michael Connelly's books over the years & when I bought my iPad & started to listen to books while I crocheted, I found I'd forgotten some of the stories & so, decided to read them again. I was not disappointed. This one I particularly enjoyed as it had me on the edge of my seat many times - I finished it in 1day & evening as I couldn't turn it off.
Nothing this reader was fabulous, he made it exciting but plausible. I would always read anything he narrated.
"I LOVED this book"
It was exciting engaging & brilliant
It certainly did. I crochet while I listen because I love reading but don't have the time. This way I can do both but many times I found I'd become so engrossed I forgot to crochet. I even played it while driving - every spare minute I could get I listened
I really enjoyed her - she kept pace with the story. Her interpretation made the story more realistic. Some readers can undermine & spoil the book but that was so not the case here.
All of it. It was an implausible tale told in a very plausible & educating manner & a lot of thought went into its plot not to mention how well researched the book had to be
"mostly a good story but at times frustrating"
I would definitely read more Thomas Perry books as indeed I have it just felt a little frustrating the plot was a bit slow after reading 2 of his Jane Whitefield books which were pretty good
Not sure it has
A little bland but otherwise good. At least not overplayed
"This book is excellent"
Exciting fast paced & engaging
Yes lists of twists & turns, good plot.

Yes
The reader had good enunciation but also realistic expression, very easy to listen to. Not over played s in some audible books. Very easy listening.
