"More boring than watching paint dry"
Teen girls
Yes - it was the material that was terrible not the reader.
There should have been a disclaimer on this book warning audiences who have a relatively knowledgable grasp of the English Language to steer clear.
"One of my top reads ever!"
Human Suffering Love
I had never read a WWII novel from the aspect of what German Families experienced.
Allan has the ability to make your "feel" what you are reading. He takes you to the brink of tragedy and pulls you back!
It is so hard to choose as all of the characters are mesmerizing. I guess I would have to say Ma Ma. She was such a complex character who kept her true humanity hidden just below the surface.
Absolutely loved this book and would recommend it to anyone. I thought the parallels to our current political climate was chilling. So much name calling going on - placing labels on people and demanding that we all conform to one groups religious beliefs. Dangerous thinking. I think this should be required reading in High Schools.
"Compelling evidence of an afterlife"
Keeps your attention
The final chapter was worth the wait for what was revealed.
I thought the book might have been a better read if read by someone other than the author. While I believed what he wrote, he often times lacked the vocal expression of a professional.
That the medical field is starting to pay attention to people who detail out of body experiences rather than just dismiss them.
All in all it was a compelling book. It was a little slow when he detailed the medical proof from the aspect of a neurosurgeron - but I understand that the book was written to help his colleagues in the medical field understand and believe what he had experienced.
"Great soul searching read"
Yes. It was a beautifully written book and the narration was of the highest quality.
No
Hattie herself. She was such a proud woman but sometimes our pride can have unintented consequences.
This was such a sad story. I think after reading this you can't help but do some soul searching and reflect on how you raise or are raising your children.
"Not so Merry"
I couldn't get past Ann Marie Lee's monotone voice. Her expression never changes. Dull.
No
Disappointment
"True Meaning of Life not just Christmas"
I loved this story. It brings to mind how different we all are and if we only take the time to listen we might understand each other. It was funny and thought provoking.
