    • ABRIDGED (2 hrs and 40 mins)

    • Narrated By Brian L. Weiss

Brian Weiss made headlines with his ground-breaking research on past life therapy in Many Lives, Many Masters. "Too repetitive"

The book was good the first few stories in. It became very repetitive afterward. A definite pass.

  • The Last Testament: A Memoir by God

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 26 mins)
    • By David Javerbaum (contributor)
    • Narrated By David Javerbaum

Over the course of his long and distinguished career, God has literally seen it all. And not just seen. In fact, the multi-talented deity has played a pivotal role in many major events, including the Creation of the universe, the entirety of world history, the life of every human being who has ever lived, and the successful transitioning of American Idol into the post-Simon Cowell era. Now, as the earth he has godded so magnificently draws to a Mayan-induced close, God breaks his 1,400-year literary silence with his final masterpiece, The Last Testament.

Marc Jaffe says: "I Am Smitten"
    "Starts good ...but..."
Where does The Last Testament rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The book does not rank that high at all. I knew about the book when it was in print, however I waited for the audio book.

What was most disappointing about David Javerbaum (contributor)’s story?

The story started off great, however it just started getting ridiculous. I just had to stop listening to it.. it was that bad.

Which character – as performed by David Javerbaum – was your favorite?

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    not at all.

    Any additional comments?

The story started great! The author was great in description and story line. I think it was when the story got into the part where God was getting married that it was just off the wall. At that point, I had a hard time staying focused on the book and it was just getting more ridiculous at that point. I just stopped. I didn't even get to the second part of the book.

  • The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 18 mins)
    • By Timothy Ferriss
    • Narrated By Ray Porter

The 4 Hour Work Week explains what a lifestyle entrepreneur is and why you should want to become one. It teaches you how to "kill" your job and design a life, the 80/20 rule and how it increases productivity, how to replace your dreams with goals, and more. Listeners can lead a rich life by working only four hours a week, freeing up the rest of their time to spend it living the lives they want.

Tim says: "Some good ideas but, not so sure. . ."
    "Good but..."

This was a good read.. but I felt like there was more to the book. I listened to it and kept expecting a resolution, however it kept me on an edge and solution that did not come. The story goes and talks about how he changed his lifestyle, and explains how he does it, but I felt like he didn't completely convey full solutions and fixes. I would consider this book a pass.

  • A Complaint Free World

    • UNABRIDGED (4 hrs and 11 mins)
    • By Will Bowen
    • Narrated By Will Bowen

In your hands, you hold the secret to transforming your life. Big words? Yes, but this is a plan that has already proven itself with millions of people around the world. In a Sunday-morning sermon, Will told his congregation he wanted to make the world a complaint-free zone and, to prove he was serious, he passed out purple bracelets to each church member and offered them a challenge. "If you catch yourself complaining, take the bracelet and move it to the other wrist."

    William says: "No complaints"
"Good premise, but drags on longer than it needs."

This book has a good message to pass a long. However I believe it dragged on pieces that it did not need to. The bulk of the book's idea was given in the first hour or so, but afterward, it went into stories that were repetitive. I would consider this a pass. Read what it's about and you got the jest of what it's trying to convey.

  • Death by Black Hole: And Other Cosmic Quandaries

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 8 mins)
    • By Neil deGrasse Tyson
    • Narrated By Dion Graham
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Neil deGrasse Tyson has a talent for guiding readers through the mysteries of outer space with stunning clarity and almost childlike enthusiasm. This collection of his essays from Natural History magazine explores a myriad of cosmic topics. Tyson introduces us to the physics of black holes by explaining what would happen to our bodies if we fell into one; he also examines the needless friction between science and religion, and notes Earth's status as "an insignificantly small speck in the cosmos".

Lind says: "Well written and well read"
"Great for an introduction to space and astronomy"

This is a great read for those looking to get an introduction to Space and Astronomy. The presentation bounces around lots of fascinating space facts and theories that keep you captivated. Even if you are not new to space, astronomy and the solar system, this is a great read. I found myself enjoying the many things I didn't know before and discovering space a new.
