A book that will change how you think and transform how you live.Forget everything you thought you knew about how to motivate people – at work, at school, at home. It is wrong. As Daniel H. Pink explains in his paradigm-shattering book Drive, the secret to high performance and satisfaction in today’s world is the deeply human need to direct our own lives, to learn and create new things, and to do better by ourselves and the world.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book teaches you truths about motivation and it applies to more than just motivating employees. It applies to everything we do in life. I actually bought the audio version as well as the book version. I have listened to the audio book at least twice and bought the book because I wanted to refer to concepts that resonate so deeply with me. They, I'm not exactly sure who "They" are...but they say that "The teacher appears when the student is ready"...I was so ready for this book! Thank you Daniel Pink for assembling such clear, and concise information!

Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more influential, and more profitable than others? Why do some command greater loyalty from customers and employees alike? Even among the successful, why are so few able to repeat their successes over and over? People like Martin Luther King Jr., Steve Jobs, and the Wright Brothers might have little in common, but they all started with why.

If you could sum up Start with Why in three words, what would they be?

Really great information that (along with Daniel Pink's "Drive") that get to the core of human nature....Informative, well researched, and helpful for all aspects of your life: work, family, friends, and especially for yourself!

Deepak Chopra, Debbie Ford, and Marianne Williamson - New York Times best-selling authors and internationally acclaimed teachers - have joined together to share their knowledge on one of the most crucial obstacles to happiness we face: the shadow. These three luminaries, each with a signature approach, bring to light the parts of ourselves we deny but that still direct our life.

Again I bought the audio version, and have always been a fan of Marianne...really nice to hear Deepak (sometimes his accent is tricky, but who cares!) and I had never heard of Debbie, and it was nice to experience her as well. I always assume that there is something I can learn from Marianne...I believe she should work with our President Obama and be one of our Spiritual Leaders of this country...her wisdom and point of view, not mention her humor (which is not really evident in this book as much as it is in so much of her work)...would certainly make this a kinder, gentler, world. If you don't mind the use of the word "God" (and you can always substitute another word: Universe, Love, Nature, Higher-Self) I think you would get a lot out of this book. I love the audio version, because I can walk or jog or workout at the gym while listening.
