"Liberty Defined: 50 Essential Issues"
5 Stars for the content. These are indeed Essential Issues.
Suggestion: Savor first the audio book chapters 46, 47 and 48 (why can't they sync the audio book chapter numbers with the print book chapter numbers?) for Dr. Paul's thoughts on “Taxes”, Terrorism”, and “Torture”.
3 Stars for the reading. I have encountered several instances where Bob Craig completely misread words, (endangered for engendered comes to mind) and others were his phrasing does not deliver the full impact of Congressman Dr. Paul's intention. One would think that a professional narrator would at least 'proof hear" his own work, or get someone to do it for him. This is too important a book to be read so carelessly.
"Extraordinary Value"
Quality. Depth. Value.
Realizing that Kaliko Beamer-Trapp is Haole. This REALLY inspires me. Kaliko Beamer - Trapp is my Hero, Inspiration and, I guess I can claim, since I study his Instant Immersion Hawaiian course, my Kumu Ōlelo. I look forward to meeting him in person soon, on The Big Island of Hawai'i.
Sadly, there is NO BOOK to be found. Apparently there were PDFs at one time, but I have not been able to find them anywhere. Please note, I am a very strong believer in learning languages by ear rather than sight. Nevertheless, having text available clarifies and expedites the process, and enables the learner to focus on areas of interest or need more quickly than searching through long audio tracks. Unless the program is divided into many very short tracks, and this one is not. Even with short multiple tracks, there are advantages to having the text, including the ability to review the material by sight more quickly than by ear.
That would be a VERY good
A version of this 8 hours of audio, broken into about 500 short tracks for focus and drilling, with the full text in both Hawaiian and English (or Japanese, Chinese, Spanish...) would be one of the best pieces of language pedagogy ever produced.
