"I would let al capone shine my shoes"
I liked the plot best, and the fact that it followed "Al Capone does my shirts" cronologically.
I can't compare this book to any other I have read. It is a unique piece of historical ficton
He brings the characters to life with the inflections of his voice. You cannot get this by just reading the book.
This book made me laugh and cry. Parts of the book are very funny and others are very heart wrenching.
I enjoyed both Al apone books very much. I hope the author writes more of these books. Although these book are considered to be for young adults...I found this one hard to turn off.
"Not your normal Ripper story."
Overall story was very good, nothing specific stood out.
Rory. Because she is smart, and couragous, and she won't let anyone tell her what to do.
no
Yes, when the ripper and rory are in the abandoned tude station.
Even though this is a YA book, i found the story entertaining and compelling. This book kept me guessing and the suprise ending was amazing. I look forward to Maureen Johnson's next book involving the Shades.
"Riveting"
I love the Monk books.
Yes. This plot was interesting with many twists and turns.
Not a whole lot. Not my favorite performer.
I did not have an extreme reaction to this book, unless you count surprise as an extreme reaction.
Anne Perry is one of my favorite writers. She is a master at twisting and turning a plot, and this book was no exception. I never saw the ending of this book coming.
"Can't wait for the next installment."
Spellbinding, intriguing, captivating.
When Russell lost her memory, what happens when Holmes finds her, and whether or not they get away from thier kidnappers.
My favorite scene takes place in the medival underground prison. As long as you are not claustrophobic, the scenes that take place underground are memorable and intense.
Yes, i couldn't put this book down. I finished it in two days.
The Russell / Holmes books are some of my favorite. Being a Sherlock Holmes fanantic, I find these books fun and refreshing. I can't wait for the next one to come out.
"Al Capone can do my shirts anytime."
I would listen to this story again, even though it is a book written for young adults. Anyone who know an autistic person will find this story interesting and you find yourself routing for Moose and his sister.
One of the most memorable moments was when Moose was in charge of calming his sister down.
Kirby did a great job, and found his choice of voices very interesting.
Yes. Although i didn't listen to it all at once, i found it hard to put it down and listened to it in 3 parts.
I am planning on having my 10 year old son read the book.
