"This is even better the Book 1!"
Engaging, educating, exciting
I think I might compare it to Pillars of the Earth, in that it is following five different families and how they intertwine and connect
Don't know if I have heard John Lee before.
Both, really and it made me think and learn about the world at that time.
Follett has a wonderful skill in keeping you interested in all five families and their connections, as well as, teaching you about history. It didn't take me long to make the connections to Book 1 - but you would not have had to read Book 1 in order to enjoy it, although it made it better, knowing the history of the characters. I look forward to Book 3
"Enthralling trip into another world!"
Jim Dale's narration!! He was able to lead me through the various time changes and back story so that I could enjoy the moment.
When the main characters finally found out who the other was.
I chose to read this book because of Jim Dale. I listened to all the Harry Potter, which he narrated, and I just knew this would be great!! He brings such definition to the characters, the humor, the sadness - and he diffferentiates each one from the other. I would read any book Jim Dale narrates!!
No, I like to make them last as I ride in my car, doing errands, going to and from work - it provides me with another world to escape into.
"Excellent Ann Perry story"
It is one of Anne Perry's best
The role of Scuff and his getting closer to Hester
He varies his tone of voice in that women sound like women and men men. You can always tell who is speaking.
No, enjoy listening while I drive, so it makes the book last longer.
