In a scrap heap within an abandoned factory, the greatest invention in history lies dormant and unused. By what fatal error of judgment has its value gone unrecognized, its brilliant inventor punished rather than rewarded for his efforts? In defense of those greatest of human qualities that have made civilization possible, one man sets out to show what would happen to the world if all the heroes of innovation and industry went on strike.

Would you try another book from Ayn Rand and/or Scott Brick?

I don't subscribe to Rand's ideas but I thought I would give it a try. I was disappointed.

Would you ever listen to anything by Ayn Rand again?

    No

With the "flattening" of the globe, has the world gotten too small and too fast for human beings and their political systems to adjust in a stable manner? Now in a third edition with a new preface, Friedman's account of the flattening of the earth is a modern classic.

This is a very informative book and it's good for people starting to study economics. There are some points he makes that may seem counter-cultural or anti-american in some ways but hear him out. My only criticism is that a new edition should be written as it reads like facebook, twitter, google, and other mainstream technologies are brand new.

They were just kids when they stumbled upon the horror of their hometown. Now, as adults, none of them can withstand the force that has drawn them all back to Derry, Maine, to face the nightmare without end, and the evil without a name.

I know the book was written this way but the ubiquitous stuttering the reader did was horrible to listen to after the first 5 minutes. Choose another narrator if you want to listen to this.
