Something is happening to Morgan that she doesn’t understand. She sees things, feels things in a new way. She can do things normal people can’t do. Powerful things. Magical things. And it scares her. She never chose to learn witchcraft, but she’s starting to wonder if witchcraft is choosing her.

I enjoyed this book, I came across it on Amazon and thought it sounded interesting. I thought the story was captivating, and the narrator did a great job, but it was so short, the whole book took place over a week or so. I can't handle books that do that (aka the Marked books etc) so I don't think I will be reading these anymore, but it was a good read!!

Deep in the stacks of Oxford's Bodleian Library, young scholar Diana Bishop unwittingly calls up a bewitched alchemical manuscript in the course of her research. Descended from an old and distinguished line of witches, Diana wants nothing to do with sorcery; so after a furtive glance and a few notes, she banishes the book to the stacks. But her discovery sets a fantastical underworld stirring, and a horde of daemons, witches, and vampires soon descends upon the library.

This story really sucked me in. Usually it takes me a couple of chapters to get into a story, but this one grabbed me pretty quickly. I love the struggle that Diana and Matthew face and the way Diana comes into her magic. I LOVE the house, and all of it's quirks.

I think this book has just the right amount of comedy, suspense and magic. Kept me captivated the entire time!

Narrator was GREAT. She handled all of the accents amazingly!!

Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed $25 in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead.

I love books like this! Every once in awhile you just need fluff you can read that you don't have to THINK about, and this book fit the bill. Being from California, I found the southern references hilarious, because we just don't have "rules" like that!

I think the narrator was fabulous with her accents (In my head, I can still hear "Haaaay Shuuuuug!") and the situations Jane finds herself in are just too funny.

All in all, this is a fabulous book! Easy reading, REALLY funny, and an amusing piece of fun literature.
